The name most commonly refers to the original Windows/Linux application released on June 23, 2019, or to newer websites that reuse the DeepNude name. Those are materially different services.
The original application was withdrawn by its creator on June 27, 2019, after concerns about misuse. Historical reporting put its paid version at $50; there is no verified official download, supported release, current version, or replacement product from the original developer. A currently indexed site at deepnude.video advertises a separate browser-based service, but the available evidence does not establish that it is operated by the original creator or uses the original software.
What DeepNude was
The original DeepNude was an AI image-manipulation application for Windows and Linux. Historical descriptions say it generated a synthetic nude-looking image from a photograph of a clothed woman. It did not literally see through clothing or recover hidden photographic detail; it reconstructed an image using a neural-network model. That distinction matters because the result could contain invented anatomy, distorted body parts, incorrect lighting, and other visual errors.
The public release occurred on June 23, 2019, not 2018 as claimed by some newer promotional pages. The creator announced a permanent shutdown four days later, citing the risk of misuse. The original site also reportedly suffered traffic-related crashes. Copies circulated afterward, but that does not make them official or safe downloads.

Is the original DeepNude still available?
No official, supported version has been verified. The documented 2019 shutdown is inconsistent with claims that an “official” installer is still maintained. Search results do not establish a current version number, support lifecycle, signed installer, checksum, official repository, or genuine replacement from the original developer.
Historical accounts report that the original paid version cost $50. The free version added a large watermark; the paid version removed it, while an additional payment reportedly removed a smaller “FAKE” watermark. These are historical details, not current prices or offers.
Downloading a copy from a file-sharing site, forum, Telegram channel, or unofficial repository creates two separate risks:
- Security risk: the installer may be modified, bundled with malware, or used to steal credentials and payment information.
- Legal and ethical risk: creating or sharing intimate-looking images of an identifiable person without consent can cause serious harm and may violate privacy, harassment, image-based-abuse, or sexual-content laws depending on the jurisdiction.
GitHub removed DeepNude code submissions in July 2019 for policy violations. That history is another reason not to treat a surviving copy as an endorsed release.
What is deepnude.video?
deepnude.video currently advertises a browser-based service using terms such as “Deepnude,” “Nudify,” and “Undress.” Its indexed pricing page lists image and video manipulation features, but no available source verifies a connection to the 2019 application or its anonymous creator. It should therefore be assessed as a separate vendor, not as the original DeepNude returning.

The page says users must be at least 18. It also says results depend on the submitted photo and recommends well-lit, standing images with clear apparel. Those statements are vendor claims, not independent performance testing. The available information does not verify the service’s upload workflow, storage duration, deletion controls, model settings, supported file types, resolution limits, API details, or processing-time guarantees.
Deepnude.video pricing
The indexed pricing page displays four paid plans. The figures below describe what the page shows; they are not evidence that the service is affiliated with the original application.
| Plan | Displayed price | Credits | Features shown on the page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $4.99 | 5 | Pro Nudification, Image Faceswap, Developer API, Telegram use, No Watermark |
| Standard | $29.99 | 100 | Basic features plus Instant Nudification, NSFW Image Generation, Deepfake Photo Generation, Video Faceswap, NSFW Video Generation, NSFW Image Animation |
| Go Extra | $129.99 | 500 | Standard features plus Priority Processing, Free Unlimited Deepnude, Deepnude Photo PC, Video Faceswap PC, and Deepnude Video PC |
| Business | $199.99 | 1,000 | Go Extra features plus Premium Care and Deepnude Video PC |
Each plan uses a Select button. The page also displays “Get 2 Free Credits” and says new users receive two credits upon signup. It claims users can earn unlimited credits by inviting friends. Listed payment methods include cryptocurrency, credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal.
Before paying any service with this branding, check its current terms, privacy policy, refund rules, age restrictions, complaint process, and data-deletion controls. The pricing page states that refunds are not guaranteed because results depend on photo quality. That makes a trial especially important—but only with lawful, fully consented material, and only after understanding how uploaded files are handled.
Features and practical limitations
Image quality is not evidence
AI-generated intimate imagery is an interpretation, not a recovered photograph. A convincing-looking output does not prove that the depicted body is real, that the person consented, or that the image represents what was beneath the clothing. Faces, hands, skin boundaries, tattoos, jewelry, shadows, and clothing edges are common places for generated errors.

- Made of premium high-quality tempered glass with a thickness of 0.33 mm and rounded edges. An ideal anti-break solution: Extremely high hardness, protects the phone screen from shocks and accidental damage.
- Dust-free installation, no fingerprints, easy with a single press, bubble-free. Oleophobic: a coating that prevents fingerprints and other contaminants, making the glass very easy to clean.
Input conditions affect results
The current pricing page recommends well-lit, standing photos with clearly visible apparel. That is a vendor recommendation, not a guarantee. Obscured faces, unusual poses, loose clothing, cropped bodies, poor lighting, motion blur, and multiple people in one image can all produce unpredictable results or failed generations.
Watermarks were part of the original product
Historical reports describe a large watermark on the original free edition. The paid version reportedly removed that mark, while an additional payment was associated with removing a smaller “FAKE” watermark. These historical limitations should not be assumed to apply to current websites.

Privacy and consent checklist
This category presents a higher privacy risk than an ordinary photo editor because the output is intended to depict nudity or sexual content. If you are evaluating a provider for legitimate research or safety work, use this checklist:
- Use only images for which every identifiable person has given explicit permission for this specific type of processing.
- Do not upload images of minors, people who cannot consent, private individuals without permission, or photographs obtained from social media without authorization.
- Read the retention and deletion terms before uploading. “Temporary processing” and “automatic deletion” claims are provider statements unless independently audited.
- Check whether human reviewers, contractors, analytics vendors, or third-party AI providers can access uploads.
- Use a unique password and avoid uploading originals containing unnecessary metadata or identifying information.
- Do not share generated images as jokes, threats, revenge, blackmail, or “proof” of someone’s appearance.
If an image of you has been created or distributed without consent, preserve URLs and timestamps, report it to the platform, request removal, and consider contacting local law enforcement or a specialist image-based-abuse support organization.
DeepNude alternatives
There is no independently verified, officially maintained direct alternative established by the available research. Some promotional articles recommend image-generation models such as Pony Diffusion XL v6, but those recommendations do not independently verify current pricing, safety, support, or comparative performance. They also do not turn a non-consensual use case into an acceptable one.

- ADHESION OPTIMIZED FOR SLIGHTLY CURVED EDGES – The slightly curved shape of the screen edges requires specialized adhesion. Our reinforced adhesive offers superior gap-filling capabilities to improve contact right up to the edges. The included smoothing card helps push out air bubbles and apply even pressure for a cleaner, more uniform installation.
- HIGH TRANSPARENCY & OLEOPHOBIC COATING: High transparency preserves the screen's sharpness, brightness, and colors. The oleophobic coating helps reduce fingerprints and smudges while making daily cleaning easier. 9H TEMPERED GLASS – 0.33 MM THICKNESS: Made from 0.33 mm tempered glass with 9H hardness, it helps protect the screen against scratches, scuffs, and minor everyday impacts, while maintaining excellent transparency.
- PRESERVED TOUCH SENSITIVITY & EASY INSTALLATION: The silicone adhesive layer ensures uniform, reliable adhesion to the screen while maintaining responsiveness and touch sensitivity. Quick and easy installation, designed to minimize bubble formation.
For legitimate creative work, safer alternatives include:
- Virtual fashion and wardrobe tools that replace clothing while keeping the subject clothed and use consent-based stock or personal images.
- Standard image editors for removing backgrounds, changing colors, repairing photographs, or compositing fictional characters.
- 3D character software where the user controls a fully synthetic adult character rather than manipulating a real person’s photograph.
- Pose, anatomy, and figure-reference tools that provide licensed or explicitly consented reference material.
When comparing any AI image service, verify the provider independently instead of relying on “official,” “restored,” or “original” labels. Look for a real company identity, transparent terms, abuse-reporting channel, clear deletion mechanism, current documentation, and payment protections.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Verdict
The original DeepNude is discontinued. It has no verified official current download, support channel, version lifecycle, or replacement from its creator. Newer services using the same name—including deepnude.video—should be treated as separate vendors with unverified continuity and vendor-supplied feature and privacy claims.
From a technology-review perspective, the main failure is not simply output quality. It is the combination of unreliable provenance, uncertain data handling, weak confidence in download sources, and a use case that can enable non-consensual intimate imagery. Do not install an alleged original copy, and do not upload a real person’s photograph without explicit, informed consent.

Was DeepNude released in 2018?
Historical accounts place the public release on June 23, 2019. The 2018 date appears on a newer promotional page and conflicts with the contemporaneous reporting used for this review.
Is deepnude.video the original DeepNude?
That relationship has not been verified. The site advertises a current browser-based service, but available evidence does not establish that it is operated by the original creator or uses the original software.
How much does deepnude.video cost?
Its indexed pricing page lists Basic at $4.99 for 5 credits, Standard at $29.99 for 100, Go Extra at $129.99 for 500, and Business at $199.99 for 1,000 credits. Pricing and availability can change.
Can I safely download an old DeepNude installer?
There is no verified official installer to recommend. Unofficial copies may contain malware or altered code, and using the software to create intimate images of people without consent can create serious legal and ethical consequences.

Are uploaded images automatically deleted?
The available research does not verify a deletion-control interface or retention period for deepnude.video. Any temporary-processing or automatic-deletion statement should be treated as a vendor claim until independently verified.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: the original DeepNude is discontinued, and current websites using the name are not verified continuations. Avoid unofficial downloads, treat current pricing and privacy promises cautiously, and use only fully consented material for any lawful image-processing service.
