Singapore-based DayOne Data Centers filed a preliminary registration statement on October 5, 2026, for a proposed U.S. IPO of American depositary shares (ADSs). The draft names Nasdaq ticker DODC, but the offering was not yet effective as of the company’s October 6 announcement, and the number of ADSs and price range had not been set. DayOne operates data-center infrastructure for large technology customers; its connection to the AI boom is the demand for computing capacity, not the sale of AI software.
What DayOne does—and how it connects to AI
DayOne describes itself as a digital infrastructure platform that develops and operates hyperscale data centers. These facilities provide the power, space, cooling and connectivity needed to run large-scale cloud and technology workloads. The company’s IPO filing presents cloud computing and artificial intelligence as drivers of demand for that capacity.
DayOne’s preliminary prospectus reports 4.6 GW of resources across ten markets and approximately 2.3 GW of bookings, primarily from seven global hyperscale and technology customers. These are company-reported figures, not measures of revenue or a count of capacity already in operation. The filing says its market and data-center information draws on a July 30, 2026 Structure Research report commissioned by DayOne and supplemented by company estimates; it also cautions that the information involves assumptions and limitations.
What DayOne’s capacity figures mean
The prospectus uses three distinct capacity terms. They describe commitments and their status under customer contracts, not financial results:
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Bookings: IT power capacity committed by customers under legally binding contracts.
- Billings: committed capacity that is income-generating under those contracts.
- Backlog: committed capacity that is not yet income-generating.
That distinction is important when interpreting the approximately 2.3 GW bookings figure: it does not mean that all of the capacity is operating or already generating income.
Customer commitments and contract length
DayOne’s filing says three hyperscale customers each have multi-market deployments with bookings around or above 200 MW. It also says most customer agreements run for 10 to 15 years, usually with five-year renewal options. These figures describe the company’s reported customer commitments and contract terms; they do not establish future revenue or utilization.

Why DayOne links Singapore, Johor and Batam
DayOne’s regional strategy centers on SIJORI: Singapore, Johor in Malaysia and Batam in Indonesia. The company says it developed this footprint in response to Singapore’s capacity constraints, with the aim of serving regional public-cloud, AI-training and inference deployments that need low latency. The strategy is broader than a single Singapore facility: it connects data-center locations across nearby markets to serve customers’ regional infrastructure needs.
What is known about the proposed IPO
The October 5 preliminary SEC Form F-1 describes an offering of ADSs representing ordinary shares of DayOne Data Centers Limited and proposes a Nasdaq listing under the ticker DODC. DayOne’s October 6 announcement said the registration statement had not become effective. The filing is preliminary, not a notice that trading has begun or that the ADSs are available to buy.

The issuer had not determined the number of ADSs to be offered or the price range. The preliminary filing therefore does not establish an IPO valuation, expected proceeds, offer date, final ADS ratio or first trading date. DayOne named Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, BofA Securities and Citigroup as underwriters in its announcement.
The filing also describes the issuer as a Cayman Islands holding company. An ADS investor would hold securities in that holding company, rather than a direct interest in DayOne’s operating subsidiaries.

DayOne’s Singapore project: announced plans, not operating results
In an August 18, 2026 announcement, UOB said DBS, OCBC and UOB provided a four-year S$530 million green loan for DayOne’s first Singapore data center, a 20 MW project. The announcement said the facility was expected to become operational by Q1 2027. That is a stated target, not confirmation that the center is already operating.
The project announcement described on-site solid oxide fuel-cell power generation as a proof of concept exploring hydrogen-based energy, alongside vertical building-integrated photovoltaics and hybrid air and liquid cooling. These are announced design features; the source does not establish their completed performance in operation.

What the filing does—and does not—tell prospective investors
The filing puts DayOne’s proposed listing in the context of rising demand for data-center capacity, but it is not enough to assess the business on bookings alone. A fuller assessment would distinguish contracted capacity from operating capacity and revenue, and consider customer concentration, contract duration, geography, power availability, construction timelines and the capital required to build facilities. DayOne’s reported bookings and customer counts should be read using its own definitions rather than compared directly with other operators’ figures that may measure different things.
For now, the clearest conclusion from the public offering documents is limited: DayOne has proposed an ADS IPO and Nasdaq listing, but its registration statement was not effective as of October 6, 2026, and the core offering terms remained undetermined.
