DapuStor Haishen5 is a family of PCIe 5.0 x4, NVMe 2.0 enterprise SSDs designed for data-center deployments—not a general-purpose consumer drive. DapuStor lists U.2, E1.S, and E3.S versions, with capacities and performance that vary by model and configuration. Its H5300 specifications reach up to 14,000 MB/s sequential read and up to 9,500 MB/s sequential write, but those are manufacturer figures, not independent benchmark results.
What the Haishen5 family includes
DapuStor describes Haishen5 as an enterprise SSD series built around a Marvell Bravera PCIe Gen5 controller, 3D eTLC NAND flash, and DapuStor firmware. The H5300 product page specifies PCIe 5.0 x4 and NVMe 2.0.
The family is offered in three form factors. Physical fit is only one part of compatibility: a server must also support the relevant drive type, interface, power and cooling requirements, and firmware configuration.

DapuStor’s H5300 page lists capacities spanning 3.2 TB to 25.6 TB across configurations. That range is not a promise that every capacity is available in every form factor. H5100’s listed U.2 maximum is a separate model-specific figure and should not be conflated with the H5300 range.

What performance DapuStor lists
On its H5300 specification page, DapuStor lists up to 14,000 MB/s sequential-read bandwidth and up to 9,500 MB/s sequential-write bandwidth across configurations. The page also lists up to 2,800K 4K random-read IOPS and up to 800K 4K random-write IOPS. These are ceiling figures for listed configurations, not results from an independent review or a guarantee for a particular SKU.
Latency varies by H5300 configuration; DapuStor lists typical random read/write latency values around 54–56/8 μs. The figures should not be treated as directly comparable to another drive unless the model, workload, queue depth, host, firmware, and test setup are aligned. DapuStor’s datasheet cautions that hardware, software, and configuration differences affect actual test results.

DapuStor’s SC24 event report describes typical power consumption as low as 17 W. That is a vendor-reported typical figure, not a complete power profile for all workloads or configurations. Confirm the selected SKU’s power and cooling requirements with DapuStor and the server vendor.
Endurance and security features
DapuStor’s English U.2 datasheet lists five-year warranty coverage, endurance classes of 1 DWPD and 3 DWPD, and a 2.5-million-hour MTBF. The H5300 product page lists 3 DWPD and a 2.5-million-hour MTBF. These are manufacturer-published specifications tied to the applicable model and datasheet; check the specific SKU and warranty terms rather than applying them to every Haishen5 variant.

DapuStor’s datasheet lists end-to-end data protection, DST, Sanitize, Secure Boot, and TCG OPAL 2.0. It also lists NVMe 2.0, NVMe MI 1.1, Multi-Stream, and Flexible Data Placement support, and notes that features can be customized for customer requirements. These are vendor-stated feature claims, not independent security validation.
Intended deployments and platform qualification
DapuStor positions Haishen5 for data centers and enterprise workloads including AI, IT, finance, telecommunications, and smart manufacturing. The intended setting matters: a PCIe Gen5 enterprise SSD is selected as part of a server or storage-system design, not just by comparing its headline speed with a desktop SSD.

In an announcement dated December 14, 2023, DapuStor said Haishen5 had completed joint testing with Intel VMD/VROC and passed Intel VROC 8.0 certification. The same announcement said H5100 was compatible with Linux, Windows, Hyper-V, and VMware ESXi and had Red Hat OS and Windows OS certifications. Those are dated manufacturer statements, not blanket approval for every host, operating-system release, firmware, or SKU. Verify the exact drive and platform against current documentation before deployment.
How to choose a Haishen5 configuration
- Confirm the bay and server support. Match U.2, E1.S, or E3.S to the chassis bay and backplane, then verify PCIe Gen5 support, cooling, power, and controller requirements.
- Choose the exact model and SKU. Compare H5100 and H5300 specifications in their respective current product documentation; do not transfer a capacity, endurance rating, or speed from one model to another.
- Size capacity and workload performance. Match the SKU’s listed capacity and sequential or random-write needs to the workload. Treat family-wide maximums as selection clues, not a prediction of application performance.
- Check endurance class and service terms. Confirm the SKU’s DWPD rating, warranty, and expected write workload with the applicable datasheet and supplier.
- Validate the complete platform. Confirm the host, firmware, operating system, hypervisor, and any VROC/VMD configuration for the exact drive. A dated certification statement alone does not establish current qualification for a new deployment.
Availability and release context
DapuStor’s December 14, 2023 company announcement said Haishen5 was available for purchase at that time. That announcement establishes the company’s availability statement on that date; it does not establish present inventory, regional distribution, or a current retail listing. The official material cited here does not establish a precise original launch date.
