Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles worldwide in Q3 2026. That is 2.1% below Q3 2025, but higher than Q2 2026 and above the 461,974-vehicle analyst consensus cited by Electrek. Tesla did not disclose a standalone Cybertruck total, so the quarter’s release cannot prove that Cybertruck sales were in free fall.

What Tesla reported for Q3 2026

Tesla’s delivery release groups vehicles into two reporting buckets. Model 3/Y accounted for 478,237 deliveries, while “Other Models” accounted for 8,295. The latter category includes Cybertruck, Semi and any Model S/X deliveries; Tesla does not identify the Cybertruck portion.

Measure Q3 2026 Comparison
Total Tesla deliveries 486,532 Down from 497,099 in Q3 2025; up from 480,126 in Q2 2026
Model 3/Y deliveries 478,237 Tesla-reported category
Other Models deliveries 8,295 Combined category; not a Cybertruck-only figure
Analyst consensus cited by Electrek 461,974 Q3 2026 consensus; Tesla delivered about 25,000 more vehicles

The year-over-year decline supports describing Tesla’s total deliveries as weaker than a year earlier. The sequential increase and consensus beat make “mediocre” dependent on which benchmark is used. Deliveries also do not establish revenue, margins or net income.

How many Cybertrucks did Tesla sell?

There is no verified worldwide Cybertruck delivery number for Q3 2026 in Tesla’s release. The 8,295 “Other Models” vehicles cannot be treated as Cybertrucks because Semi and Model S/X deliveries are included as well. Assigning all 8,295 units to the truck would overstate what Tesla disclosed.

Where the “free fall” claim comes from

The sharp decline figure available in the cited reporting is historical and U.S.-specific. InsideEVs reported a Cox Automotive estimate of 5,385 Cybertruck sales in the United States for Q3 2025, down 62.6% year over year. That was an independent market estimate, not a Tesla-reported global total and not a Q3 2026 result.

Cox’s broader U.S. context also matters: electric-vehicle sales reached 438,487 in Q3 2025, up 29.6% year over year, while Tesla’s estimated share fell to 41% from 49% a year earlier. The same report said Tesla’s own U.S. sales rose 8% year over year, showing that Cybertruck weakness and total Tesla performance are not interchangeable claims.

Why inventory listings do not settle the question

An inventory monitor recorded Tesla-listed Cybertrucks falling from 146 to 25 between September 13 and 30, 2026. That count included new and used listings. A listing disappearing does not prove a vehicle was sold: Tesla does not state whether a listing was delivered, transferred, withdrawn or otherwise removed. Inventory movement can suggest changing availability, but it is not a delivery statistic.

What to watch next

Tesla’s financial release

Tesla scheduled its Q3 2026 financial results and webcast for October 21, 2026. That release should provide revenue, profitability and other financial measures that delivery numbers alone cannot show.

Future model-level disclosure

A reliable Q3 2026 Cybertruck total would require Tesla to separate the truck from “Other Models” or a credible independent estimate covering the relevant market. The available figures do not establish a comparable worldwide Q3 2025 baseline either.

Bottom line on Cybertruck sales

Tesla’s Q3 2026 total deliveries were down year over year but up from the previous quarter and ahead of the cited consensus. The evidence for a Cybertruck “free fall” is the 62.6% year-over-year decline estimated for U.S. Q3 2025—not a confirmed global Q3 2026 collapse. Tesla’s current reporting leaves the Cybertruck count unresolved.
