Autoblog’s report provides the stated comparison price and discount.
Before purchasing, check the Amazon listing for the current total price, seller, product photos, and model number. A past discount does not establish that the same offer remains available.

Check the model number before ordering
The official CRAFTSMAN page identifies the 308-piece set as CMMT45938. A Lowe’s-hosted CRAFTSMAN content sheet identifies a 308-piece mechanics tool set as CMMT45939. The available information does not establish that those identifiers are interchangeable.
Compare the listing’s model number and images with the intended product details rather than relying on the shared piece count or title alone. This is especially important if the Amazon offer is attached to a listing whose model is unclear.

Warranty and practical expectations
CRAFTSMAN lists a full lifetime warranty for the CMMT45938 set. That is the manufacturer’s stated warranty, not an independent assessment of durability. Review the manufacturer’s current warranty terms for coverage and claim requirements before relying on it.
The set’s breadth—multiple drive sizes, sockets, wrenches, hex keys, bits, and accessories—makes it a general-purpose hand-tool assortment. The listed specifications do not establish professional suitability or guarantee that a particular repair can be completed with this kit alone.
