The Corsair ML120 PRO RGB is a 120mm PWM fan with magnetic-levitation bearing technology and four hub-mounted RGB LEDs. Corsair rates it at up to 1,600 RPM, 47.3 CFM airflow, 1.78 mm-H2O static pressure, and 25 dBA. Independent testing by Hardware Busters recorded a 1,591 RPM maximum and found measured airflow and static pressure below Corsair’s ratings. It may suit a build that already has Corsair’s required RGB hardware, but the single-fan package does not include that hardware.
What the ML120 PRO RGB offers
The ML120 PRO RGB measures 120mm x 25mm and uses PWM speed control and a magnetic-levitation bearing. Corsair describes the fan as combining magnetic levitation, low noise operation, and iCUE-controlled RGB lighting; its official product statement is: “The CORSAIR ML120 PRO RGB PWM fan combines unrivaled performance and low noise operation, by utilizing magnetic levitation bearing technology, with vibrant RGB lighting controlled in CORSAIR iCUE software.” The Quick Start Guide specifies four RGB LEDs mounted in the fan hub.

These are Corsair’s published ratings, not independent measurements. Corsair does not establish in the cited product information that the advertised airflow, pressure, and sound figures were measured in a directly comparable test setup to the independent review.
What independent testing found
Hardware Busters recorded a maximum speed of 1,591 RPM in its review, slightly below Corsair’s 1,600 RPM ceiling. The review also reported measured airflow and static pressure below Corsair’s advertised values. Those results describe that review’s test setup; they should not be substituted for the manufacturer’s ratings or treated as universal figures for every installation.

#1 Best Overall
- Streamlined Fan Connections: Daisy-chain multiple fans together and control them all through just one 4-pin PWM connector and one +5V ARGB connector.
- Lighting Made Easy: Eight LEDs per fan shine bright with customisable lighting through your motherboard’s built-in ARGB control (requires compatible motherboard).
- Precise PWM Speeds: Set your fan speeds up to 2,100 RPM while providing up to 72.8 CFM airflow to your system.
- CORSAIR AirGuide Technology: Anti-vortex vanes direct airflow at your hottest components for concentrated cooling, pushing air in the direction you need when mounted to a radiator or heatsink.
- High Static Pressure: RS fans work well as radiator fans with a static pressure of 2.8mm-H2O to push through obstructions.
The rated maximum of 25 dBA is a manufacturer figure. The evidence here does not provide a named independent noise measurement that allows a direct comparison with other fans, nor does it establish a thermal improvement or long-term bearing lifespan. A buyer should therefore weigh the specified speed and pressure alongside independent results from reviews that test alternatives under comparable conditions.
Does it fit your PC?
Check that the case or radiator has a standard 120mm mounting position and that the motherboard or fan controller provides a 4-pin PWM header for speed control. The fan is 25mm thick, so confirm clearance around the mount, particularly near radiator fittings, memory, or other components.

Fan speed control and lighting are separate considerations: a compatible PWM connection handles fan control, while the RGB LEDs require Corsair’s documented lighting hardware. Do not assume a newer Corsair controller is compatible without checking its documentation for this specific fan.
What is included, and what RGB hardware do you need?
The single fan is an expansion product, not a complete lighting setup. Corsair says RGB functionality requires an RGB lighting hub and a Lighting Node PRO. The documented three-fan kit includes both; the single pack does not.

- Keep Cool: Powerful PWM-controlled fan speeds from 480 RPM up to 2,400 RPM, so your fans only spin as fast as you need, pushing up to 63.1 CFM of air with 3.8mm-H2O of static pressure.
- Exclusive Time Warp Lighting Mode: Equipped with 34 RGB LEDs, spread across two distinct light zones on either side, and powered by iCUE LINK for exclusive lighting modes such as the strobing Time Warp.
- Quiet Operation with Magnetic Dome Bearing: CORSAIR’s Magnetic Dome bearing retains all the performance of ML fan technology and further reduces friction at low fan speeds.
- Zero RPM Mode: Supports Zero RPM PWM signals to completely eliminate fan noise at low loads.
- iCUE LINK System Hub and Bridge Connectors Included: Chain your fans together without wires using the included bridge connectors and seamlessly connect them all to the iCUE LINK System Hub with just a single cable.
| Package | Documented contents | SKU |
|---|---|---|
| Single fan | One fan and four mounting screws | CO-9050075-WW |
| Three-fan kit | Three fans, one RGB lighting hub, one Lighting Node PRO, twelve mounting screws, and two mounting strips | CO-9050076-WW |
With the single pack, budget for the required RGB hub and Lighting Node PRO if you do not already have compatible units. The available documentation does not establish universal compatibility with newer Corsair controller products. Corsair’s product specifications and kit contents are listed on its ML120 PRO RGB product page, and the Quick Start Guide details package contents and lighting components.
Is it a good choice for a case or radiator?
The fan’s 1,600 RPM rated ceiling and 1.78 mm-H2O rated static pressure are the key published figures to consider for airflow through a radiator or restrictive panel. Hardware Busters’ lower measured airflow and static pressure are a reason to compare independent tests before choosing it for a performance-focused radiator setup. The evidence available here does not establish a specific cooling result for any case, radiator, or CPU.

- Stunning RGB Lighting with Dual Light Loops: 18 LEDs per fan spread across an inner and outer loop enable brilliant, customisable lighting that can be synchronized with all your iCUE RGB devices
- Effective and Efficient Cooling: Deliver superb airflow to your system with precise PWM controlled speeds up to 2,400 RPM, pushing 69.9 CFM of air. An impressive 5.22mmH2O static pressure also gives the LX RGB the force it needs for mounting to radiators
- LINK Your Fans Together: The included iCUE LINK bridge connectors can connect your fans directly to each other, creating a seamless bank of fans all connected to the iCUE LINK System Hub (sold separately) with just a single cable
- CORSAIR AirGuide Technology: Anti-vortex vanes direct airflow at your hottest components for concentrated cooling, pushing air more efficiently
- Quiet Operation with Magnetic Dome Bearing: CORSAIR’s Magnetic Dome bearing is a refinement of the renowned magnetic levitation bearing, minimising noise and reducing friction for greater longevity
For an open case mount, the same airflow and noise trade-offs matter, but there is no supplied comparative test showing how it performs against particular newer RGB fans. A useful comparison should use fans tested at similar RPM and include measured noise, airflow, and pressure—not just manufacturer maximum ratings.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you buy the Corsair ML120 PRO RGB?
It is most straightforward to consider if you need a PWM 120mm fan and already own the required Corsair RGB lighting hub and Lighting Node PRO, or if you are buying the documented three-fan kit. If you are purchasing a single fan and lack those components, include their cost and compatibility in the total installed cost before deciding. No current price or stock status is established here.

The published specifications are clear, but the independent review’s below-rating airflow and pressure results make direct comparison important, especially if radiator performance is your priority. Its five-year Corsair warranty is a concrete support point; it is not evidence of a measured lifetime for the bearing.
