It offered a three-course, cohort-based learning path intended to prepare professionals for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam. The launch announcement is historical: it does not establish whether the courses, enrollment or listed prices are available today.
What was the CoRise Partnership?
Announced on March 16, 2023, the partnership brought together Linux Foundation Training & Certification, CNCF and CoRise for online training in DevOps and Kubernetes. The program’s stated aim was to prepare learners for the CKA certification exam. The partners also said they sought to help develop 50,000 qualified and certified DevOps professionals worldwide over the following two years; that was a target, not a verified result. The Linux Foundation announcement and CNCF’s announcement describe the launch.
Which courses were included?
The announced sequence had three courses, moving from general DevOps foundations toward Kubernetes administration:
- DevOps Crash Course
- Docker and Container Fundamentals
- Kubernetes: Managing Containers at Scale
The three-course path was presented as preparation for sitting the CKA exam, not as a guarantee of passing or as the certification itself.

How was the training delivered?
According to the 2023 launch announcement, learners would join cohorts, work on projects led by industry experts, attend weekly instructor-led sessions live or through recordings, interact with instructors and receive personalized AI-driven support. This distinguishes the announced format from a purely self-paced video course, though the announcement does not establish how any particular cohort operated in practice.
What experience did learners need?
The announcement recommended command-line and container experience. Some programming experience was also recommended, but it was not required. These are launch-era recommendations; the source does not confirm whether any later version of the courses used the same prerequisites.
How much did the CoRise courses cost?
The March 2023 announcement listed the first course as free, each of the two follow-on courses at $400, or access through a $1,000 annual CoRise subscription that included more than 40 courses. These were historical launch terms, not confirmed current prices. The Linux Foundation announcement and CNCF’s announcement provide the terms as reported at launch.
Is the CoRise partnership course still available?
The reviewed launch announcements do not confirm current enrollment, course availability or pricing. They said the first cohort would start June 12 and last two weeks; because the announcement was published in March 2023, that date describes the launch-era schedule, not a current start date. Check CoRise or Linux Foundation Training & Certification directly for any present-day offering rather than relying on the 2023 schedule or prices.

How should the reported learning outcomes be interpreted?
The Linux Foundation’s announcement attributed a 78% course completion rate to CoRise and said 95% of learners reported learning skills that would help them on the job. The announcement does not provide independent validation or methodology for those figures; the 95% figure is self-reported. It also attributed a 4–6% completion rate for asynchronous courses to CoRise, without providing a study citation or methodology. These figures should be read as claims reported at launch, not as independently established benchmarks or evidence of current course performance.
