Para liberar espaço com segurança, use primeiro as ferramentas do próprio Windows: abra Iniciar > Configurações > Sistema > Armazenamento, revise Arquivos temporários ou Recomendações de limpeza e selecione as categorias que deseja remover antes de confirmar. Não apague indiscriminadamente tudo o que encontrar em uma pasta chamada Temp: o Windows identifica categorias para limpeza, mas não estabelece uma regra universal de que todo arquivo temporário, em qualquer local, possa ser excluído sem consequências.
Como limpar arquivos temporários pelo Armazenamento do Windows
- Abra Iniciar > Configurações > Sistema > Armazenamento. A tela apresenta categorias de uso do disco, que podem incluir arquivos temporários, aplicativos instalados e sistema e reservado. A Microsoft explica as opções de armazenamento e limpeza.
- Selecione Arquivos temporários ou abra Recomendações de limpeza e aguarde a análise. O Windows lista categorias e estima o espaço que poderá liberar.
- Leia as categorias, marque somente o que quer remover e escolha Limpar ou Remover arquivos, conforme o botão exibido. Os nomes podem variar conforme a versão e a edição do Windows.
As Recomendações de limpeza também podem sugerir arquivos grandes ou não usados e aplicativos não usados. São sugestões, não uma ordem para eliminar tudo: confira cada item antes de confirmar.
Quando usar a Limpeza de Disco
A Limpeza de Disco é uma alternativa integrada para selecionar tipos de arquivo a remover. Pesquise Limpeza de Disco no menu Iniciar, escolha a unidade, examine as categorias e confirme a seleção. Se precisar considerar categorias adicionais, selecione Limpar arquivos do sistema; a ferramenta fará uma nova análise, então revise a lista novamente antes de confirmar. O que evitar ao escolher arquivos para remover
Não trate toda pasta Temp como uma categoria segura
“Temp” pode se referir a locais diferentes, e os arquivos podem ter contextos distintos. As orientações da Microsoft recomendam usar os controles do Windows para revisar categorias removíveis; não garantem que apagar manualmente todo o conteúdo de todas as pastas temporárias seja seguro. Se estiver considerando exclusão manual, não remova arquivos que pareçam estar em uso nem itens cujo propósito você não reconhece.

Verifique a opção de instalação anterior do Windows
Em Arquivos temporários ou na Limpeza de Disco, pode aparecer Instalações anteriores do Windows ou Versão anterior do Windows. Remover essa instalação apaga os arquivos de Windows.old necessários para voltar à versão anterior do Windows; essa possibilidade de retorno não pode ser recuperada por essa limpeza. Deixe a opção desmarcada se ainda precisar da versão anterior. A Microsoft descreve as opções de recuperação do Windows.

O Sensor de Armazenamento pode ser configurado nas opções de Armazenamento. Ele atua apenas na unidade do sistema; a gestão da Lixeira, da pasta Downloads e de conteúdo de nuvem depende das preferências configuradas. A documentação da Microsoft informa que Downloads e conteúdo de nuvem não são geridos a menos que o usuário configure o recurso para isso. Se a pasta Temp voltar a encher rapidamente
Se o espaço voltar a ser consumido depressa depois da limpeza, não repita exclusões indiscriminadas. A Microsoft aponta pacotes .appx da Microsoft Store como uma possível causa de uma pasta Temp cheia e recomenda tentar as etapas abaixo. Isso é uma causa possível, não um diagnóstico válido para todo computador.
- Redefina a Microsoft Store, se a orientação aplicável ao seu caso indicar essa opção.
- Limpe o cache da Store: pressione Windows + R, digite
wsreset.exee pressione Enter. Aguarde a execução. - Execute a solução de problemas do Windows Update.
- Reinicie o computador e verifique se o alerta de pouco espaço persiste.

Limpar Temp sempre deixa o computador mais rápido?
Não necessariamente. A falta de espaço pode contribuir para problemas, mas a Microsoft também cita outros fatores que podem afetar o desempenho, como aplicativos iniciados com o Windows, software desatualizado ou hardware antigo.
