It is most compelling for teams that want those communication tools inside one sales workspace. Its main trade-offs are that key capabilities such as automation, power dialing, and advanced permissions require higher-tier plans, while calling and SMS add usage charges to the subscription.
The prices and plan details below reflect Close’s official pricing page as accessed on September 28, 2026; they are not verified 2025 prices. This is a feature-and-cost review, not a hands-on test.
What Close CRM does
Close combines CRM records and pipeline work with tools for sales communication. Its listed capabilities include calling, SMS, email, workflows, reporting, a mobile app, and Chloe, its AI sales agent. That integrated approach can reduce the need to move between separate tools when a sales team is managing leads and following up.
Close’s feature list is vendor-published; it describes what the company offers, not independent proof of performance. The feature set also changes by plan, so the headline list should not be read as meaning every subscriber gets every tool. See Close’s current plans and feature table.

Close CRM pricing and what each plan includes
Close’s pricing page listed these per-user prices on September 28, 2026. The annual figures are the listed monthly equivalent for annual billing, not the monthly-billing rate. Confirm the live page before subscribing because prices and inclusions can change.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Notable listed features and limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $19 per user/month | $9 per user/month | One user, up to 10,000 leads, and no workflows; includes 500 monthly AI credits. |
| Essentials | $49 per user/month | $35 per user/month | Team collaboration, unlimited contacts and leads, built-in forms, email, calling, and SMS; includes 1,000 monthly AI credits. |
| Growth | $109 per user/month | $99 per user/month | Automated workflows, power dialer, custom activities, and bulk email; includes 1,500 monthly AI credits. |
| Scale | $149 per user/month | $139 per user/month | Role-based permissions, lead visibility rules, predictive dialer, unlimited call-recording retention, and live call coaching; includes 2,000 monthly AI credits. |
Close says AI credits refresh monthly without rollover and that additional credits are available. The listed credit amounts are per plan; the page does not establish that they are shared across a team.
Allow for calling and SMS usage
The seat price is not the full cost if your team uses the phone or text features. Close says calling and SMS are usage-based and billed at cost; its pricing page estimates that most outbound calls cost around $0.02 per minute and that phone numbers start at about $1 per month. Treat those as Close’s current estimates, not a fixed quote or a guarantee for every call, destination, or number.

Trial and refund terms
The pricing page lists a 14-day trial with no credit card required and says Close offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Check the current terms and eligibility directly with Close before relying on either offer.

Which plan fits which sales team?
Solo: one-person use with a lead cap
Solo is the entry option for an individual who can work within the listed 10,000-lead limit and does not need workflows. It is not a team plan: Close lists one user for this tier.
Essentials: team CRM and communication basics
Essentials is the first listed tier with team collaboration and unlimited contacts and leads. It also includes built-in forms, email, calling, and SMS. Choose it when the team needs shared sales work and communication tools but does not require the automation and power dialer listed for Growth.
Rank #3
Growth: workflow automation and power dialing
Growth adds automated workflows, a power dialer, custom activities, and bulk email. It is the relevant tier to evaluate if reducing manual follow-up or calling through lead lists is central to the sales process.
Scale: tighter access controls and coaching
Scale adds role-based permissions and lead visibility rules, which matter when administrators need to control who can access records. It also lists predictive dialing, unlimited call-recording retention, and live call coaching. Those are specific reasons to consider Scale; the higher seat price may be difficult to justify if the team will not use them.
Close CRM pros and cons
Potential advantages
- Sales communication in the CRM: Close bundles calling, SMS, and email with lead and pipeline work, rather than presenting the product as records alone.
- Tools scale by plan: Workflows, dialers, administrative controls, and coaching are available at the tiers where Close lists them, giving teams a clear set of capabilities to evaluate against their sales process.
- Useful entry point for an individual: The Solo tier offers a lower listed seat price than the team tiers, although its single-user and lead limits are material.
Potential disadvantages
- Advanced tools raise the seat cost: Automation and power dialing start at Growth, while more extensive permissions, predictive dialing, and live coaching are listed under Scale.
- Usage charges complicate budgeting: Calling and SMS are not simply included without limit; actual spend depends on usage, alongside the subscription.
- Published complaints are dated and indirect: A September 5, 2024 TechRepublic review summarized user-reported concerns about a learning curve, comparatively high cost, and minor bugs. These are not firsthand findings here and should not be assumed to describe the product in 2026. TechRepublic also discloses that it may earn from vendors through affiliate links or sponsorships. Read its Close CRM review with that date and context in mind.
Is Close CRM worth it?
Close is worth evaluating if your sales team wants a CRM centered on outbound communication and follow-up, and if built-in calling, SMS, and email are more valuable than keeping those channels in separate tools. The strongest fit is a team whose sales motion can use the included communication features and, at Growth or Scale, the relevant dialing, workflow, or administration tools.
It is a weaker fit if you need only a basic contact database, if a one-person plan’s lead limit is too restrictive, or if advanced features push the per-seat cost beyond what the team can justify. Before deciding, estimate the subscription for your seat count and add expected phone and SMS use. Then compare alternatives on the same basis: team size, included channels, automation and dialer access, permissions, usage charges, and total cost. Close names Pipedrive, HighLevel, HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, Salesloft, and Copper on its CRM comparison page; that page is vendor-authored positioning, not an independent verdict or a current competitor-price comparison.

Close’s comparison page identifies several products worth putting on a shortlist, including Pipedrive, HubSpot, Zoho, and Salesforce for CRM comparisons, and Outreach, Apollo, and Salesloft for sales engagement comparisons. Rather than assume one is better, test each against your actual requirements: how many people need seats, which communication channels must be built in, whether workflow automation or a dialer is essential, what administrative controls are needed, and how usage charges affect the total. Current competitor pricing and feature terms should be checked with each vendor.
Close partner program
For publishers and creators who may refer customers, Close’s partner page invites affiliates and creators to apply. It describes a single application followed by a meeting with the Partnerships team, and states a 30% commission on first-year subscription revenue, with lifetime earnings available as accounts scale. Approved partners receive a unique referral link and dashboard, according to Close. Approval and the applicable agreement terms are not guaranteed; review Close’s Partner Program for current details. Any referral placement should be accompanied by a clear affiliate disclosure.
