Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition, an expanded version of the original city-building game—not Cities: Skylines II—is announced for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 28, 2026. The publisher’s announcement lists ten included content packs, larger city-building maps and new controls. It also states that owners of the original Nintendo Switch Edition will receive a 70% loyalty discount, though the announcement does not provide regional terms or pricing.
What is included in Expanded Edition?
The announcement lists these ten expansions and content packs:
- After Dark
- Snowfall
- Green Cities
- Sunset Harbor
- Map Pack 3
- Country Road
- Pearls from the East
- Deep Focus Radio
- Carols, Candles & Candy
- Match Day
This is the announced included list; it does not promise access to other downloadable content. For context, Nintendo’s page for the original Switch Edition says that version included After Dark and Snowfall, not all ten items in the new edition’s list (Nintendo UK).
The packs add different kinds of content. Paradox describes Green Cities as adding specialized options for city zones, while its Snowfall page highlights winter services and transport content such as snowplows and winter parks (Green Cities; Snowfall).
