If you’re looking for Cisco phone system reviews, the key distinction is that Cisco offers several deployment models; this evaluation focuses on Webex Calling, its cloud-based business phone system. Cisco’s page reported 4.5 out of 5 stars from 152 verified Webex Suite reviews in March 2025, but that vendor-presented figure is broader than Webex Calling and does not establish what phone-service subscribers generally think of it.

What the available reviews can—and cannot—tell you

Cisco’s on-premises and cloud collaboration page attributed a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars to 152 verified Webex Suite customer reviews as of March 2025. Cisco attributes the rating to Gartner Peer Insights. It is a dated, vendor-presented rating for Webex Suite overall—not an independently audited measure of all Cisco phone-system subscribers or a rating limited to Webex Calling. Cisco/Webex review information

That is the only review statistic established here. It does not reveal which Webex Suite features reviewers used, how many reviewed calling specifically, or what subscribers currently praise or criticize. Treat it as a limited signal, not proof of a consensus about call quality, reliability, support, or ease of use. The available evidence does not support claims that subscribers broadly love or dislike the service.

What Cisco phone service is being reviewed?

Webex Calling is Cisco’s cloud business phone system. Users can make calls through the Webex app on desktop or mobile, or use compatible Cisco IP phones. Cisco identifies the 6800, 7800, and 8800 Series as supported phone families. That family-level statement does not guarantee compatibility for every specific model, hardware revision, or configuration, so verify the exact handset and deployment before purchase. What does Webex Calling cost?

At the time of the October 2026 US pricing snapshot, Webex displayed its Webex Call plan at $15.30 per user per month with annual billing, or $183.60 per user per year. The listed plan included unlimited domestic calling and billed international calls per minute. This is a US price-page snapshot, not a guaranteed quote: check the current price, geography, taxes, promotions, billing period, and terms before budgeting. Webex US pricing

The subscription price is only one part of the bill. Cisco’s product terms say customers need local, long-distance, emergency-dialing, and direct-inward-dial PSTN service through Cisco or an approved third party. Provider charges, international usage, implementation, and ongoing support may also affect total cost. Cisco product terms

What to verify before choosing a configuration

Cloud, on-premises, or hybrid responsibility

Decide whether you want a cloud service, an on-premises deployment, or a hybrid approach. These choices affect who operates infrastructure and handles administration. Cisco describes flexible cloud and on-premises paths in its collaboration materials, including its Flex Plan 3.0 information. Compare the operating responsibilities and migration requirements of the actual configuration you are considering, not just the Cisco name. Cisco Flex Plan 3.0 data sheet

License, user, and device fit

Confirm the license type and the way each user will call. Cisco’s July 2026 licensing documentation says a Standard-licensed user may have a physical device or soft clients, but not both; other license types and entitlements differ. Check the applicable entitlement against your intended mix of desk phones and app-based calling before assigning licenses. Cisco Webex Help licensing documentation

PSTN, numbers, and emergency calling

Determine who supplies PSTN service, which local numbers you need, and how emergency dialing is provisioned. Cisco warns that VoIP can be used wherever an internet connection is available, so a caller’s number does not necessarily correspond to their physical location. Verify how your deployment configures locations and emergency-calling procedures; do not assume that a phone number alone identifies a caller’s current location. Cisco product terms

Phones and analog endpoints

Check the exact IP phone SKU, hardware revision, provisioning requirements, and whether an existing phone can be reused. Cisco also identifies the ATA 190 Series as an adapter for connecting one analog device to cloud calling. Confirm that the specific service and intended analog-device use are supported before relying on an adapter. Cisco Webex Calling overview

Review evidence that matches your use

When comparing subscriber feedback, check the review date, product and plan named, number of reviews, and whether the feedback concerns calling specifically or Webex more broadly. A Webex Suite rating cannot answer every question about a particular phone deployment, license, PSTN provider, or endpoint.

How to make a fair comparison

Compare the configuration you would actually deploy with the alternative, rather than judging by a headline subscription price or a broad suite rating. Work through these points:

  • Deployment: cloud, on-premises, or hybrid, and who administers each part.
  • Licensing: user entitlement, device limits, calling features, and physical-phone versus soft-client needs.
  • Calling service: PSTN provider, local and direct-inward-dial numbers, emergency dialing, and international-call charges.
  • Total cost: subscription billing period plus provider charges, implementation, and continuing support.
  • Endpoints and migration: exact phone model compatibility, analog-device requirements, reuse of existing equipment, and migration work.
  • Subscriber experience: how recent and representative reviews are, and whether they address the phone service rather than the wider collaboration suite.

Cisco lists partners that integrate, build, sell, renew, and consult on collaboration services. If you need migration, integration, or managed support, establish who will provide that work and include its scope and cost in the comparison. Cisco’s PSTN terms also make provider selection part of the buying decision. Cisco Webex Calling overview Cisco product terms Cisco Flex Plan 3.0 data sheet
