According to Bollywood Hungama’s October 6, 2026 report, the notice says Jain has “exclusive rights and authorization” to negotiate the sale, licensing or assignment of the film’s digital, television and allied or ancillary rights. It identifies Sugar & Spice Production, represented by Chirag Dhariwal and Param Deep Sandhu, as the production entity associated with the film.
The report says the notice grounds Jain’s claim in a finance agreement dated June 3, 2019, and a finance term sheet dated November 3, 2020. It describes the claimed rights as “sole and exclusive negative rights,” and says the notice asserts that they were “irrevocably sold, assigned and transferred” to Jain. These are assertions attributed to the notice; the report does not provide the agreements for independent review.

The reported notice invited individuals, copyright societies and corporate bodies with an objection to submit it to Jain in writing, with documentary evidence, within 10 days of publication. The October 6 report says it remained to be seen whether the production house or another stakeholder would issue a counterclaim or clarification. It does not establish whether an objection was filed, whether any party responded, or whether a court or other authority has ruled.
