OpenAIは2026年3月5日、GPT-5.4をChatGPT、API、Codex向けに発表しました。OpenAIの評価では、ユーザーが事実誤りを指摘した匿名化済みプロンプトのセットで、個々の主張が誤っている確率はGPT-5.2比で相対的に33％低く、回答全体に何らかの誤りが含まれる確率は18％低くなりました。これは特定の評価セット上の相対差であり、日常の利用で誤りが一律に3割減るという意味でも、ハルシネーションがなくなったという意味でもありません。
「事実誤認3割減」は何を測った数字か
「約30％減」という見出しに最も近い公式数値は、個々の主張が誤っている確率の相対33％低下です。比較対象はGPT-5.2で、評価にはユーザーが事実誤りを指摘した匿名化済みプロンプトのセットが使われました。OpenAIは同じ評価について、回答全体に何らかの誤りが含まれる確率も相対的に18％低かったと発表しています。

この2つは別の指標です。33％は正答率が33ポイント上がったという意味ではなく、誤りの確率がどれほど変化したかを示す相対値です。また「どの使い方でも誤りが約3割減る」と一般化することもできません。発表された該当箇所には、評価セットの件数、比較前の絶対的な誤り率、信頼区間は示されていません。
GPT-5.4でハルシネーションはなくなったのか
いいえ。OpenAIはハルシネーションを、もっともらしく聞こえるものの誤っている内容として説明し、ChatGPTが今もハルシネーションを起こし得るとしています。今回の数値は、指定された評価セットでGPT-5.2より誤りの確率が低かったという結果であり、回答の正確性を保証するものではありません。

重要な判断に使う場合は、回答の根拠となる一次資料を確認し、数値・日付・引用・固有名詞を照合してください。モデルが自信ありげに説明していること自体は、内容が正しい証拠にはなりません。

2026年3月5日の発表時点では、GPT-5.4 ThinkingはChatGPT Plus、Team、Proに順次展開され、EnterpriseとEduでは管理者が早期アクセスを有効にできるとされました。GPT-5.4 ProはProとEnterprise向けとして案内され、APIではgpt-5.4とgpt-5.4-proというモデル名が示されました。これは発表時点の案内であり、2026年10月現在のプラン、既定モデル、料金、利用条件を網羅した確認ではありません。
その後、OpenAIのモデルリリースノートは3月18日にGPT-5.4 miniについて記載しました。同日時点では、FreeとGoの利用者は「＋」メニュー内の「Thinking」機能から利用でき、他の利用者にはレート制限時の代替モデルとして使われると案内されています。モデルの選択肢やプラン別アクセスは変更されることがあるため、実際の利用可否はChatGPT内のモデル選択表示と最新の公式リリースノートで確認してください。
