Of the three AI forecasts reported by 24/7 Wall St., ChatGPT was most optimistic about Bitcoin reaching $113,000 by October 2027. The article assigns it a 68% chance, compared with 46% for Claude and 38% for Grok. Those figures are reported model outputs, not verified market odds or evidence that Bitcoin will hit Citi’s target.
Citi’s target is a separate, 12-month forecast: Reuters reported on October 1, 2026, that the bank raised it from $82,000 to $113,000. October 2027 is the horizon used to compare the AI forecasts, not a claim that Citi set an October 2027 deadline.
What Citi’s $113,000 Bitcoin target means
Citigroup raised its 12-month Bitcoin price target from $82,000 to $113,000, Reuters reported on October 1, 2026. Reuters said Citi cited stronger crypto activity, a supportive macroeconomic backdrop and resumed ETF inflows. Citi also expected $5 billion in inflows over the following 12 months as advisers and brokerages gradually increased Bitcoin allocations. Reuters’ report summarizes the bank’s note; it does not reproduce the complete note.
A 12-month target is an analyst forecast, not a guaranteed price or a promise that Bitcoin will reach that level by a particular date. The AI comparison uses October 2027 as its endpoint, as reported by 24/7 Wall St. That comparison horizon should not be confused with Citi’s 12-month formulation.

Why the probabilities are not a Bitcoin consensus forecast
A percentage from a chatbot can look like a measured probability, but the article does not show an independently published study or calibration process supporting these numbers. Without the full prompts and transcripts, it is not possible to determine precisely how each model defined its probability, what evidence it considered or how comparable its method was to the others.
The 68%, 46% and 38% figures therefore show disagreement among reported outputs, not a poll of market participants or a validated estimate of the chance Bitcoin will reach $113,000. The highest number is not proof that ChatGPT is more accurate; the lowest is not proof the target will be missed. None of the figures establishes what Bitcoin will do.

What the article says about inflows and market risks
Reuters attributes a $5 billion inflow expectation over the next 12 months to Citi. Separately, the 24/7 Wall St. article says the models considered that insufficient and put the inflows that might support a move to $113,000 at $10 billion to $15 billion. That larger range is the article’s account of model analysis, not Citi guidance or a separately sourced estimate.
The article describes restrictive Federal Reserve policy as a shared risk in the models’ reasoning. Reuters also reports that Citi saw the failure to advance the Clarity Act as narrowing the path to a market-structure bill, while SEC rule announcements dampened negative sentiment. Those are changing conditions and attributed assessments—not settled regulatory outcomes or mechanical predictors of Bitcoin’s price.

ETF flows, interest rates, macroeconomic conditions and regulatory developments can all change. A forecast that depends on them is conditional, and the reported model paths do not make those conditions certain.
