There is no VPN recommendation for safely getting around Stake’s location restrictions. Stake.com prohibits using a VPN or proxy to disguise your location and evade geo-blocking; Stake.us also says location masking can result in account action. The two services have different rules and game models, so check the terms for the specific site and your local law before participating.
Why a VPN is not a workaround for Stake
A VPN can change the apparent location of an internet connection, but it does not change where you are or establish that you are eligible to use a service. Stake.com’s Terms of Service, clause 14.4, say that using a VPN, proxy, or similar service to manipulate your real location with the intent to circumvent geo-blocking or jurisdiction restrictions breaches clause 5. The clause also covers giving misleading information about your residence for that purpose.
Stake.us separately identifies using a VPN or proxy to mask or manipulate your real location as grounds for account action in its Terms & Conditions. Do not treat a VPN server in another state or country as permission to access either service where you are otherwise restricted.
Stake.com and Stake.us are different services
The names are similar, but their terms, geographic rules, and descriptions of play are not interchangeable. Stake.com’s terms list the United States among prohibited jurisdictions. Stake.us has separate terms that describe its games as not offering real-money gambling and say that actual money is not required to play. That description applies to Stake.us; it should not be carried over to Stake.com.

This is a dated list from Stake.us, not a general list of where every gaming service is unavailable. Check the current Stake.us restricted-states page before relying on it; the list and other eligibility rules may change. Stake.us terms also address jurisdictions where participation is legally precluded, so a state not named on that help page is not automatically a guarantee of eligibility.
How to check whether you can participate
- Identify the exact service. Confirm whether you mean Stake.com or Stake.us; do not assume one platform’s rules apply to the other.
- Read that service’s current terms. Check geographic restrictions, age requirements, and rules on VPNs, proxies, and location information.
- Check your actual location against the operator’s current restrictions. For Stake.us, consult its current restricted-states page as well as its terms.
- Verify local law with the relevant regulator. Look for the regulator responsible for your state, territory, or country and its current guidance on the specific activity.
- Do not use a VPN to override a restriction. If eligibility is unclear or your location is excluded, do not infer permission from being able to load the website.
Why website access does not prove eligibility
A page loading, an account being accessible, or a VPN endpoint appearing to be in an allowed region does not establish that you meet the platform’s terms or that participation is lawful where you are physically located. Eligibility depends on the service’s current rules and the law that applies to your actual location. Because those details vary by jurisdiction and may change, only the operator’s current terms and the relevant local regulator can answer the question for your circumstances.
