For Samsung’s standard navigation swipes, go to Settings > Display > Navigation bar and choose Buttons. For custom multi-finger shortcuts, Samsung Members community instructions describe setting an unwanted Home Up action to None—if that feature and menu are available in your installed software. These are separate controls, and Samsung does not document a universal switch that turns off every kind of multi-finger gesture.
Identify which gesture system you want to change
“Multi-finger gestures” can refer to several features on a Fold 7. The right setting depends on what the gesture does:

Samsung’s Navigation bar instructions cover system navigation, while Home Up shortcut details below come from a Samsung Members community contributor rather than Samsung’s general support guidance.
Replace navigation swipes with buttons
- Open Settings > Display > Navigation bar.
- Select Buttons to use the Back, Home, and Recents buttons instead of swipe navigation.
On One UI 6.1 or later, Samsung documents the standard swipe actions as swiping inward from either side for Back, swiping up from the bottom for Home, and swiping up and holding for Recents. If you want to keep swipes, choose Swipe gestures and open More options to check the available sensitivity controls. Options can vary with software version and model; Samsung says the swipe direction cannot be changed on devices running One UI 6.1 or later. See Samsung’s Navigation bar guidance.

Set an unwanted Home Up gesture to None
If a custom shortcut is firing—for example, a multi-finger tap or swipe—the Samsung Members community instructions describe this path:
- Open Good Lock > Home Up > Gesture settings > Multi finger gesture, if those options appear on your Fold 7.
- Find the finger count and gesture you want to change.
- Set its assigned action to None.
The community post describes two-, three-, four-, and five-finger assignments, including swipes, pinches, taps, double-taps, and long-taps. It does not establish that the feature is present on every Fold 7 build or that None disables all Home Up gestures in one step. Use the separate fix for bottom-edge touch problems
If the problem is unintended or unreliable touches near the bottom of the screen while using swipe gestures, Samsung’s Fold troubleshooting guidance recommends turning off Bottom gestures sensitivity setting under Good Lock > Home Up > Gesture settings. It also recommends checking for software and Galaxy Store app updates. This sensitivity control is not the same as clearing custom multi-finger shortcut assignments. Check accessibility and TalkBack separately
For unintended taps or other interaction needs, open Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity. Samsung lists tools including Assistant menu, touch-and-hold delay, tap duration, and Ignore repeated touches. These adjust interaction behavior; Samsung does not describe them as a global multi-finger-gesture off switch. See Samsung’s Interaction and Dexterity guide.

TalkBack uses a separate accessibility gesture system. Google says most TalkBack gestures can be reassigned, but two-finger swipe gestures cannot. Those controls do not change Home Up shortcuts or ordinary navigation. See Google’s TalkBack gesture guide.

The Fold 7’s Flex mode panel has per-app controls at Settings > Advanced features > Flex mode panel. That setting determines whether the panel appears for an app; it does not control navigation gestures or Home Up shortcuts. The Fold 7 can also use its lower screen as a touchpad while partly folded. If Home Up gestures are missing or still misfire
A secondary report published on 2026-10-03 attributes troubleshooting guidance to a Samsung Community moderator: Home Up multi-finger gestures may require Swipe gestures (multiple directions) in Navigation bar settings, and users were asked to check whether volume-control routines might interfere. Treat this as a troubleshooting clue, not a confirmed requirement for every Fold 7 configuration; the report is not Samsung’s official support documentation. Sammy Fans report, 2026-10-03
