Not according to the official information available. The closest matching product is Baseus’s Security S2 Outdoor Camera 4K (SKU S0SX00213-00), but Baseus’s overview lists screw mounting and does not document a no-drill window attachment. Its materials also do not establish whether the camera can record effectively through glass. Treat the headline’s window setup as unverified, not as a confirmed feature.
What the Baseus S2 is—and what the listing confirms
Baseus identifies the Security S2 Outdoor Camera 4K as an outdoor camera. The product listing gives the model number as S0SX00213-00; it does not identify the camera as a window camera. Baseus’s product listing describes it as “a smart security solution with AI dual detection and face recognition.” That is the manufacturer’s product description, not an independently verified assessment.
The S2 overview uses the heading “Easy Setup Anywhere,” but its comparison table lists screw mounting. That wording does not confirm a no-drill attachment, and the official pages reviewed do not show a window-mounting method.
Can you mount it at a window without drilling?
The available official information does not establish that you can. In particular, it does not document a suction, adhesive, or other no-drill window mount for the S2. If avoiding holes is essential, confirm the exact model’s mounting instructions and included hardware with Baseus before buying; do not infer a window mount from “Easy Setup Anywhere.”

Will it record through the glass?
Baseus’s reviewed S2 materials do not answer whether it records through a window or how glass affects its image or detection. They provide no verified window-use guidance, so there is not enough evidence to promise that an indoor camera aimed outdoors through glass will work as intended. Ask Baseus about that specific setup before relying on it for monitoring.
S2 specifications and claims to weigh
For someone considering the S2 as a conventional outdoor camera, Baseus advertises these features. They are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.

- [Secure Local Storage – No Cloud Fees]: No subscriptions, no leaks. All data is processed locally on the device using AI algorithms, keeping your privacy in your hands.
- Image and coverage: Baseus lists 4K video and a 145° field of view. Those specifications do not establish performance through glass.
- Detection: Baseus describes radar plus PIR detection and AI features, including face recognition. The reviewed materials do not independently verify detection performance.
- Power: Baseus describes solar-assisted operation and says solar charging depends on optimal sunlight. Consider the camera’s placement and expected sunlight rather than assuming the panel will eliminate recharging.
- Storage: Baseus promotes local microSD storage and no monthly cloud fees. Its official materials conflict on card capacity: the overview says up to 512GB, while the product specifications say a maximum of 256GB. Confirm compatibility with Baseus before choosing a card.
What to verify before choosing it for a window
- Confirm the exact model: Check that the product is the Security S2 Outdoor Camera 4K, SKU S0SX00213-00, rather than another Baseus camera or a seller’s loosely worded listing.
- Confirm the mounting method: Ask Baseus whether an approved no-drill window attachment exists for this model. The overview’s listed method is screw mounting.
- Ask about glass-facing use: Get guidance for recording and detection through the particular window setup you have; the reviewed product pages do not establish that use.
- Resolve the card limit: Check the supported microSD capacity for the exact model and region because Baseus’s overview and specification listing disagree.
- Check the live listing: Price and availability can change, and the US listing has appeared at different prices. Confirm the current offer and regional variant directly before purchasing.
What this means for a no-drill setup
The S2 may be relevant if you want a 4K outdoor camera with manufacturer-advertised radar-plus-PIR detection, solar assistance, and local storage. But the official information does not support calling it a no-drill window camera: screw mounting is listed, and glass-facing recording is not addressed. Those are the two points to settle before treating it as a solution for monitoring through a window.
