Yes. MyCase supports credit and debit card payments through its payment features. For online Payment Pages, your MyCase account must be integrated with LawPay; the available options and terms depend on your account setup.
How clients can pay by card through MyCase
MyCase documents online Payment Pages and a mobile-app workflow for recording credit card payments. Payment Pages can be used to receive payments in the office, by email, through a website, or on a mobile device. MyCase states that a LawPay integration is required to use them in its Payment Pages help article.
On mobile, the documented workflow is for a user to choose Quick Pay, select a deposit account, enter client and card information, and submit the payment. The payment is then logged in MyCase under Billing | Reconciliation. MyCase describes this as recording a card payment from the app; its documentation does not establish that a physical card reader is required. See Payments on Mobile.
What fees does MyCase list for card payments?
A MyCase migration notice displayed with a July 24, 2026 date lists these rates for the migration it describes. They are not a guarantee of the rate on every account: verify your current processor status and account terms before relying on them.

The same MyCase Payments Migration 2025 notice describes PCI compliance support and says a monthly non-compliance fee may apply after a six-month grace period if compliance is not validated. MyCase’s terms say fees may be set in order or pricing materials and can change with prior written notice, so check the terms attached to your account.
How long do card payments take to settle?
MyCase says card payments are deposited in 2–3 business days for transactions processed before its 7 p.m. Pacific cutoff. Weekends and holidays are excluded. Card payments can be disputed through chargebacks. MyCase describes typical dispute windows of 120 days in the United States and 180 days internationally, based on the transaction date or discovery of the issue as applicable. These are the windows described in MyCase’s help article, not a guarantee that every dispute follows the same timeline.
Can a firm choose which payment methods to offer?
Yes. Payment Method Customization lets a firm choose the methods shown for an individual invoice, batch bill, or funds request. Clients see only the options selected for that request. MyCase says defaults cannot currently be configured by client or case. Details are in Payment Method Customization.

Can a firm add a surcharge to card payments?
MyCase’s September 3, 2026 article says surcharge requires a LawPay integration and setup. It is currently limited to eligible invoices or funds requests paid into an operating account; it is not available for MyCase trust-account payments. Before adding a surcharge, check the rules of the relevant bar authority and confirm eligibility and setup with the processor. See Surcharging Credit Card Transactions.

What to confirm before accepting a client payment
- Check that the LawPay integration is active if you plan to use Payment Pages.
- Confirm the current card rates and account terms with MyCase or your payment processor.
- Choose the payment methods you want clients to see on each invoice, batch bill, or funds request.
- Verify deposit timing and the correct deposit account for your workflow.
- If considering a surcharge, verify both account eligibility and applicable bar rules before enabling it.
