Yes. Two-step verification on your Google Account should not, by itself, stop a cloud service from looping uploaded video to your YouTube channel. It protects account sign-in; the service separately needs an authorized way to stream, such as a YouTube stream key or an OAuth connection, and your channel must be eligible to use YouTube Live.
Why two-step verification usually does not block a cloud stream
Google’s two-step verification adds a second sign-in check when you access your Google Account. It is not described as a YouTube Live eligibility setting. The practical distinction is that signing in to Google and sending a live broadcast to YouTube are separate tasks. A cloud service may connect to a channel using a stream key or an OAuth authorization flow; neither method means the service needs your Google Account password.
This compatibility answer is based on the separation between account sign-in and the streaming connection, not a guarantee about every service or every account. Google’s documentation describes OAuth 2.0 for applications accessing private user data through the YouTube Live API, and says a channel must be approved for YouTube Live. StreamNeo describes a stream-key setup instead.
What needs to be in place
- YouTube Live access: Your channel must be able to livestream. Google’s YouTube Live API documentation says a channel must be approved for YouTube Live. A cloud service cannot grant that eligibility.
- A supported connection method: Follow the service’s current instructions. It may use OAuth authorization or ask you to add a YouTube stream key; these are different methods.
- The right channel and permissions: When an authorization screen appears, check which Google Account and YouTube channel are selected, then review the access being requested.
Connect a cloud service safely
- Confirm livestream eligibility. Check that the intended YouTube channel can start a live broadcast before troubleshooting the cloud service.
- Identify the connection method. Read the provider’s setup instructions and determine whether it uses Google OAuth or a stream key. StreamNeo’s homepage says to add the channel’s stream key once.
- Review any Google authorization prompt. Confirm the account and channel, read the requested permissions, and proceed only if you trust the provider. Google advises granting access only to trusted apps and says, “Do not share your Google Account password on a third-party app.” Google’s guidance on third-party app access also recommends reviewing what an app can access.
- Keep credentials separate. Do not enter your Google password on an untrusted third-party page or give it to a service. If an app asks for your password directly instead of using a secure connection flow, stop and check its official documentation. Google recommends Sign in with Google when available and describes App Passwords as a less secure alternative for cases when that sign-in option is unavailable.
- Start a test broadcast and check YouTube. Verify the intended channel is live and that the video or playlist is playing as expected.
Stream key and OAuth: what is different?
With OAuth, you authorize an application through Google and should review the access it requests. Google documents OAuth 2.0 for YouTube Live API access to private user data. With a stream key, the service uses the channel’s streaming credential to send video to YouTube; it is not the same as signing in to your Google Account. Follow the selected provider’s current steps and do not treat one connection method as another.

StreamNeo says its workflow is to upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and start the cloud broadcast. It says the uploaded content then runs from its cloud, so your computer can be turned off. That is StreamNeo’s stated workflow, not an independent test or a claim about all cloud services. See StreamNeo for its current details.
If authorization or streaming fails
- The channel cannot start a live broadcast: Check YouTube Live eligibility first; a cloud provider cannot replace channel approval.
- The wrong channel appears: Recheck the Google Account and channel selected in the authorization flow, or verify that the stream key belongs to the intended channel.
- An OAuth prompt asks for unexpected access: Do not approve it until you understand the requested permissions and trust the provider. Consult the provider’s official instructions.
- A service asks for your Google password: Stop and check its official documentation. Do not share that password with a third-party app.
- The broadcast still will not start: Check channel eligibility, authorization or key validity, and the provider’s connection instructions. The available official sources do not identify two-step verification itself as the cause of a failure.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo’s published setup is three steps: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Its cloud runs the uploaded video without requiring your home computer to stay on. StreamNeo says each slot streams the upload at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat per-slot price, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card.
