Yes—if you own or can edit the form, open it and select Responses. You can review submissions in Summary or Individual, but you can identify a respondent only if the form collected their email address or other identifying details. A Google Account sign-in requirement alone does not record a respondent’s username.

How to see Google Form responses

  1. Open the form in Google Forms.
  2. Select Responses.
  3. Choose Summary to see an overview and, once at least one response has arrived, a list of people who responded. Choose Individual to review submissions one at a time. See Google Docs Editors Help: View & manage form responses.

The Summary tab is not available until the form has received at least one response.

Can you tell who filled out the form?

That depends on what the form collected. Google says usernames are not recorded just because the form requires sign-in to limit respondents to one response. To associate an email address with a submission, the form owner must enable email collection. Respondents may also identify themselves by typing their name or other details into an answer.

Verified email collection

With the Verified option, respondents confirm that the Google Account email address will be collected with their response. Google documents this and the other email collection options in its response-management help.

Responder-entered email

With responder entry, people type an email address themselves. This records the address they provide; it is not the same as having them confirm their Google Account address.

No email or identifying answer

If the form did not collect an email address, name, or other identifying detail, the owner should not assume they can identify a respondent from the person’s Google Account. A one-response sign-in limit does not change that.

Can respondents see other responses?

Not by default through the owner’s response view. However, an owner can turn on View results summary in the form’s Presentation settings. Google says that summary may include charts or full-text answers and is visible to anyone who can respond to the form. It is separate from the owner’s view of individual submissions. Check this setting before sharing a form with responses that responders should not see. Details are in Google Docs Editors Help: Publish & share your form with responders.

Viewing responses in a linked Google Sheet

A form owner can save responses to a linked Google Sheet. If you use one, check the spreadsheet’s sharing permissions separately: collaborators may have access to it, and changes to the form’s permissions do not automatically synchronize later permission changes to the sheet. See Google Docs Editors Help: Choose where to save form responses.

Reviewing responses to a Google Forms quiz

For a quiz, open Responses > Individual to review and grade submissions. Google’s quiz guidance says collecting email addresses allows points and feedback to be assigned to individual responses. Releasing quiz results is a separate setting. See Google Docs Editors Help: Create & grade quizzes with Google Forms.
