Freelancers with an active Gig can send a custom offer to a client who has contacted them on Fiverr. You create it from the client’s Inbox conversation, set the service, price and delivery terms, and send it for the buyer to accept. Acceptance starts the order automatically.
How to send a custom offer on Fiverr
- Open the client’s conversation in your Fiverr Inbox. The client must contact you first; sellers cannot initiate contact with new clients.
- Select Create an offer and choose the relevant Gig.
- Describe the work and set the payment method, price and delivery time. Add any extra services or revisions that apply.
- Depending on the offer workflow, set an expiry date, save the offer as a template, and choose whether the buyer must submit Gig Requirements.
- Review the scope and terms, then send the offer.
Fiverr recommends sending an offer after you understand the client’s needs. State what you will deliver, how much it costs and when it will be delivered. Ask for missing details first if they could change the scope or price.
Choose the offer structure that fits the work
| Offer type | Best suited to | How payment and delivery work | Availability or setup notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single payment | A straightforward task with one delivery | One-time payment for the agreed work | |
| Subscription | Recurring work | Recurring daily, weekly or monthly, for a term of up to six months | Available only in specific categories |
| Milestones | A project delivered in phases | Up to five steps, with payment as each task is completed | Available only in specific categories |
| Hourly | Work billed by time | An hourly rate, with an optional weekly hour limit | Fiverr’s hourly-work guidance requires an estimated total of at least eight hours |
Confirm that the offer type is available for your category and account in the offer form. For hourly work, estimate the work before setting the terms; use the weekly limit if it helps define the engagement.
Fiverr’s listed custom-offer limits
Fiverr’s current Help Center page lists a price range of $5 to $20,000 USD, delivery periods of 1 to 90 days, and revisions ranging from zero to 20 or unlimited. It also lists up to five milestone steps and subscription terms of up to six months. These are platform limits, not a recommended price or delivery schedule, and Fiverr may change them. Check the live offer form and Fiverr’s custom-offer guidance before relying on a specific limit.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What happens after you send the offer
The buyer can accept, decline or ask for changes. When the buyer accepts, the order starts automatically. A buyer cannot accept a custom offer while your availability is set to Unavailable; Fiverr also notes that a pending offer may still be paid while you are away.
If you leave Gig Requirements in place, the buyer must submit them before work officially begins. If you already have the information you need, Fiverr lets you skip requirements and move the order to In Progress. Only do that when the offer already defines the deliverable and scope clearly.

Make the scope clear before sending
- Describe the deliverables and what is excluded.
- Set a realistic price and delivery estimate.
- Specify revisions, extras, milestones or hourly limits where relevant.
- For phased or time-based work, explain what each stage covers or how the hours will be used.
- Keep communication on Fiverr and do not share personal contact details.
A custom offer is for tailoring a service to a client’s request when the standard Gig does not cover it. Fiverr’s guidance does not guarantee that a buyer will accept an offer.
