Yes. Zoom’s Google Workspace add-on lets you add Zoom meeting details to Google Calendar events, then schedule, join, and manage meetings from Calendar or Gmail. To add Zoom to an event, open or create it in Google Calendar, choose Zoom Meeting from the video-conferencing menu, authorize the accounts if prompted, and save.
How to add Zoom to a Google Calendar event
- In Google Calendar, create an event or open an existing event to edit it.
- If the full event editor is not open, select More options. Open Add video conferencing and choose Zoom Meeting.
- When prompted, authorize access to your Google account and sign in to Zoom.
- Adjust any supported Zoom meeting settings in the side panel, complete the event details, and save the Calendar event.
Zoom documents this add-on for Calendar on the web and the Google Calendar mobile app. On mobile, create an event, choose Zoom Meeting from the conferencing menu, authorize access if requested, fill in the event details, and save. Google says add-ons can be installed through Calendar’s Get add-ons interface or the Workspace Marketplace. A work or school administrator may restrict installation.
What syncs between Calendar and Zoom?
After you save an event, Zoom documents synchronization of the event’s topic, date, time, and time zone to the corresponding Zoom meeting in the Zoom web portal and client or app. Other meeting details apply only to the Google Calendar event. Allow about two minutes for the sync to complete, according to Zoom.
For a change to an existing meeting, edit its Calendar event rather than copying its meeting details into a brand-new event. Zoom cautions against creating a new Calendar event to reschedule an existing Zoom meeting.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The mobile Calendar app cannot change Zoom settings for a meeting that has already been scheduled. Use Calendar in a web browser or the Zoom web portal for those settings.
Scheduling from Gmail is a separate invitation workflow
The add-on can also schedule a meeting from a Gmail thread. Zoom says it can use the email subject as the meeting topic and identify participants in the thread. However, emailing people the Zoom join details is not the same as sending them a Google Calendar invitation. To invite people through Calendar, create the event there or edit the scheduled meeting’s Calendar event.

Choose the right Zoom–Google connection
| What you want to do | Connection to use | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Add Zoom join details to a Calendar event | Zoom for Google Workspace add-on | Choose Zoom Meeting in the event’s video-conferencing menu. |
| Schedule a meeting from an email thread | Zoom for Google Workspace add-on in Gmail | Sending join details by email does not automatically create a Calendar invitation. |
| Let people book appointments based on your availability | Zoom Scheduler connected to Google Calendar | Scheduler reads calendar events to calculate availability. Zoom says full functionality requires read and write calendar permissions to create or update events. |
| Make Google Calendar an “Add to Calendar” option while scheduling in Zoom | Zoom integration settings | This is a separate setting from adding Zoom conferencing to an event in Calendar. |
Zoom Scheduler is a separate workflow from adding a Zoom meeting to a Calendar event. Zoom says Scheduler can automatically sync a calendar already linked to a Zoom Workplace profile or Zoom Calendar app; Google Calendar is among its supported services.

The meeting details are not syncing
- Save the event and wait a few minutes for the sync.
- Check that you have write permission for the calendar and that the meeting is not in the past.
- In the Zoom side panel, open the affected Calendar event. Zoom says this prompts the add-on to check the event ID and sync missing or changed information; allow another one to two minutes.
Calendar items are missing or authorization fails
Configure Calendar and Contacts integration in the Zoom web portal and review the permissions requested. Zoom says missing permissions or expired authorization can prevent calendar items from appearing as expected.
Calendar reports “Failed to create conference”
Zoom identifies an exceeded API rate limit as one possible service-related cause. Check Zoom’s service-status information; Zoom also documents its Chrome extension as a workaround while the issue is resolved.
