Yes. You can sync your Google Calendar to the Calendar app built into your iPhone without installing Google’s iPhone app—and without using an Android device. Add your Google account in iPhone Settings and turn on Calendar.
What you need
You need an iPhone, a Google account, and Apple’s built-in Calendar app. Google confirms that you can sync Google Calendar with the Calendar app that comes with iPhone or iPad: Google Calendar Help.
Add your Google account to iPhone Calendar
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps, then Calendar.
- Tap Calendar Accounts, then Add Account.
- Choose Google and sign in to your account.
- Make sure Calendar is enabled for that account. If you only want calendar syncing, you can turn off other Google services for the account.
- Open Apple’s Calendar app to view your Google Calendar events.
These menu names reflect Apple’s current iPhone guide. They may differ on older iOS versions. Google also documents adding an account through Calendar settings; if your Google account is already listed, select it and turn on Calendars. What works in Apple Calendar—and what does not
Apple Calendar can show events synced from Google Calendar. Google lists three Google Calendar features that are unavailable in Apple Calendar:

- Event email notifications
- Creating new Google calendars
- Room Scheduler
If you rely on one of those features, use the Google Calendar iPhone app or open Google Calendar in a mobile browser for that task. For ordinary access to synced events, the separate app is optional. Google describes these alternatives in its iPhone and iPad calendar-sync guidance.
Will changes appear instantly?
Do not assume every update will appear immediately. Apple says accounts that do not support Push can use a Fetch schedule, which determines how often Calendar checks for new data. You can review the available account and fetch options in Apple’s Calendar settings guide.
