Yes, a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i can run some games and creative apps, but what it can handle depends on the exact generation, processor, graphics, and memory. Some games may be playable with reduced settings; demanding gaming, 4K video editing, and complex 3D work are less certain. Check the full model number and compare its specifications with the needs of your game or project before relying on a family-wide performance claim.

Why the exact Slim 3i model matters

“IdeaPad Slim 3i” names a family, not one fixed hardware configuration. For example, Lenovo’s US Gen 10 product page lists an Intel Core 3 100U option, while a separate Lenovo PSREF listing for the IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10, model 83K100GGMB, specifies a Core i5-13420H, integrated Intel UHD Graphics, soldered memory, and a DDR5 SODIMM slot. Those are distinct configurations, not parts of one combined specification.

Find the laptop’s generation and full model number on its product label or in its system information, then check Lenovo’s specifications for that exact model. Processor, graphics, and memory configuration can all affect what games and creative workloads are practical. Lenovo’s US Gen 10 product page and the Lenovo PSREF illustrate why the family name alone is not enough.

What games can a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i run?

Some games can run, but performance varies with the exact chip and integrated graphics, memory, game, resolution, and quality settings. The available reviews show very different outcomes rather than a reliable frame-rate estimate for every Slim 3i.

One reviewed configuration managed a game with adjustments

Tom’s Guide reported that its IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 review unit—with a Core 7 350, integrated Intel Graphics, and 16GB of memory—ran Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 30 FPS at 1080p with settings adjusted. That result applies to the tested laptop, game, and review conditions; it does not predict performance on other Slim 3i models. The reviewer also described the laptop as not intended for gaming and video editing. Read Tom’s Guide’s Gen 11 review.

Another review found an 8GB model poor for gaming

RTINGS assessed a 2023 IdeaPad Slim 3i 15IRU8 with a Core i3-1315U, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage as bad for gaming. Taken together, these reviews show why a result for one configuration should not be applied to the entire family. See RTINGS’ 2023 model assessment.

Set expectations before installing a game

  • Look up the processor and graphics in your exact model’s specifications.
  • Compare the game’s requirements with that hardware, and consider whether the game permits lower resolution or quality settings.
  • Do not assume a game will reach a particular frame rate based on a different Slim 3i’s review.

Can it run video-editing and 3D software?

An app launching does not establish that editing or rendering will feel smooth. Compare your particular laptop with the software’s published requirements, and distinguish minimum requirements from recommendations for the kind of work you plan to do.

Premiere Pro: HD is a different target from 4K

Adobe’s Premiere Pro requirements, last updated September 16, 2026, list a Windows minimum of an Intel 6th-generation-or-newer CPU with AVX2, 8GB RAM, and an Intel or AMD GPU with at least 4GB of GPU memory. Adobe recommends 16GB RAM for HD media and 32GB or more for 4K and higher. Adobe says, “The minimum specifications are for editing HD video.” Meeting a minimum is not a promise of smooth performance, and you should check whether your exact Slim 3i’s graphics and memory meet the requirements for your intended workload. Check Adobe’s Premiere Pro system requirements.

Blender: recommended specifications are substantially higher

Blender lists 8GB RAM and a GPU with 2GB VRAM as minimums, compared with 32GB RAM and 8GB VRAM recommended. Its requirements page lists Intel Kaby Lake architecture or newer among supported Intel graphics. These thresholds do not benchmark a Slim 3i: integrated graphics and shared system memory, along with scene complexity, matter to the experience. See Blender’s system requirements.

How to judge your own laptop and workload

  1. Identify the full model. Record the generation and model number rather than relying on “Slim 3i” alone.
  2. Check the installed hardware. Confirm the processor, graphics, and amount and configuration of memory against Lenovo’s specification for that model.
  3. Define the workload. For games, note the title, resolution, and quality settings you want. For Premiere Pro, distinguish HD from 4K; for Blender, consider whether your scenes are simple or demanding.
  4. Compare like with like. Use the software’s requirements and reviews of the same or closely matching hardware. Treat minimums as thresholds, not guarantees of a smooth workflow.
