Yes. A 24/7 YouTube livestream can use YouTube Giving if the channel has access to the feature and you attach an eligible fundraiser to the stream. YouTube’s current guidance allows fundraisers on livestreams, including scheduled livestreams; it does not identify a 24/7 duration as a Giving-specific disqualifier. That is not a guarantee that every continuous broadcast will remain live or eligible: the channel, nonprofit, content, and stream must still meet YouTube’s applicable requirements.
What viewers see and how to attach a fundraiser
When the fundraiser is active, viewers can donate from the livestream’s watch page. If live chat is enabled, the donate button can also appear in chat. YouTube says the donate button appears after the fundraiser’s start date.
- In YouTube Studio, open Earn > Giving and create or join a fundraiser.
- Select an eligible nonprofit, or request one if it is not listed.
- Enter the fundraiser details and attach the relevant video or scheduled livestream.
- Publish the fundraiser. The donate button becomes available after its start date; live chat donations require live chat to be enabled.

Check whether your channel can use YouTube Giving
YouTube’s listed general requirements are that the channel be based in a location where Giving is available, have at least 10,000 subscribers, participate in the YouTube Partner Program, and not be designated Made for Kids. YouTube also notes that some channels outside those stated criteria may have access, so check the Giving area in YouTube Studio rather than treating the list as a definitive account-by-account decision. Which nonprofits qualify—and where donations go
YouTube Giving fundraisers support eligible US nonprofits. The listed nonprofit conditions include US 501(c)(3) public charity status, a Google for Nonprofits account, opting in to online fundraising through GuideStar, a creator request, and compliance with YouTube monetization policies. Private foundations are not supported. A charity may not appear in search if it has not opted in, is missing a required registration, or is listed under a different name. YouTube says 100% of contributions go to the nonprofit and YouTube pays the transaction fees. Its partner Network for Good collects and distributes donations. Disbursements are typically monthly; donations under $10 are disbursed annually. Donor contributions are non-refundable. How donations affect other livestream monetization
Adding a fundraiser does not affect ads, according to YouTube. There is a trade-off if you enable Live Chat Donations: that stream cannot use Super Chat or Super Stickers. Super Thanks is unavailable on videos with Donations. If choosing between features matters to your channel, review YouTube’s Giving FAQs before setting up the fundraiser.

YouTube’s Giving setup guide permits fundraisers on livestreams, including scheduled ones, and its general live-stream help explains available streaming methods and basic eligibility. The reviewed guidance does not specify a maximum livestream duration or a special Giving exclusion for a 24/7 stream. It also does not explicitly guarantee that every 24/7 broadcast qualifies or will stay live indefinitely. Treat duration as distinct from the ordinary requirements: feature access, nonprofit eligibility, content and stream compliance, and the stability of the broadcast all still matter.
