It makes sense for golfers who want audio and basic on-device yardages together; golfers who want hazards and layup points shown on screen should compare it with the newer Wingman HD. Setup relies on the Bushnell Golf app, the iGolf course database, and GPS satellite reception.
What the Wingman View does
The Wingman View is a portable Bluetooth speaker that also provides audible and visual golf GPS distances. Pair a phone for music, then use the built-in display or its removable BITE remote to request distance information. A magnetic mount is included in the design for attaching the speaker to a suitable golf cart surface.
Bushnell lists USB-C charging, a built-in USB port for charging another device, and TWS pairing with another Wingman View, Wingman 2, or Wingman Mini for stereo-style playback. The box includes the speaker, remote, and USB-C charging cable.
GPS information and course setup
The device uses Bushnell’s iGolf course database, and its yardages depend on both course data and satellite reception. Bushnell says the device needs three GPS satellites to function, so allow it to acquire a signal outdoors before relying on distances.

How it compares with the Wingman HD
The most notable distinction for golfers comparing the two models is the on-screen course information. Golf Monthly’s January 2026 review of the Wingman HD identifies displayed hazard locations and layup points as improvements over the View. That makes the HD worth considering if you want more detail on the speaker’s screen; the View’s appeal is its simpler combination of speaker, display, and remote.

Remote pairing troubleshooting
If the remote does not beep when pairing begins, Bushnell’s support guidance says its battery may need replacement. It specifies a CR2032 lithium-metal, non-rechargeable coin cell; check the remote and current guidance to confirm compatibility before replacing it.
If pairing still fails, Bushnell’s documented reset and re-pairing process includes removing the device and app pairing, then adding the device again through the app. Complete the pairing flow for both remote and speaker.
