Healthcare, gaming, and utilities were named as initial areas; Nokia’s example of tracking an ambulance’s location was a potential use case, not a launched service or a measured improvement in emergency response.
What the 2024 agreement covers
The agreement brings Bounteous x Accolite’s development work together with Nokia’s tools for accessing network capabilities through APIs. The announcement described collaboration on network API use cases, rather than naming a particular customer project, operator deployment, or finished application. Nokia’s 1 August 2024 announcement said the companies would focus initially on healthcare, gaming, and utilities.

Nokia quoted Sanjeev Kumar, Bounteous x Accolite’s General Manager for Telecom & Media, describing an opportunity to help operators deliver greater value from their networks and the platform. Nokia’s Shkumbin Hamiti, Head of Network Monetization Platform, Cloud and Network Services, said the agreement brought Bounteous x Accolite into the ecosystem of partners using network APIs. These statements frame the work as ecosystem and use-case development; they do not establish a rollout or customer result.
What Nokia Network as Code does
Nokia describes Network as Code as a way to abstract network complexity and make network functions available through developer-oriented interfaces. Instead of requiring each application team to work directly with the underlying telecom infrastructure, the platform and its APIs are intended to make selected capabilities easier to incorporate into software.

#1 Best Overall
- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Nokia’s platform materials list resources for developers, including SDKs, network API documentation, code snippets, and a sandbox for simulating and testing use cases. Nokia’s platform launch materials also describe capability areas such as quality on demand, network slicing, and edge cloud. Which capabilities an application can actually use depends on the APIs and network access available to its developers and operator partners. Platform resources and capability descriptions do not by themselves show that a given application is running on a live operator network.
How 5G network APIs could support the named use cases
A network API gives an application a defined way to request or use a network capability. Depending on the API and the operator’s implementation, this could let a developer build network-related functions into an application without directly managing all the underlying network details. The agreement announcement did not specify which APIs would be used for each sector or describe completed integrations.
Healthcare: ambulance location as an example
Nokia cited tracking an ambulance’s location as a possible healthcare application that could help accelerate emergency response. That describes a potential use of network information, not a service Nokia or Bounteous x Accolite said they had launched. The announcement provides no response-time measurements, deployment details, or evidence that tracking an ambulance through this collaboration changed clinical or operational outcomes.

- Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router - Up to 5400 Mbps WiFi for faster browsing, streaming, gaming and downloading, all at the same time(6 GHz: 2402 Mbps;5 GHz: 2402 Mbps;2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps)
- WiFi 6E Unleashed – The 6 GHz band brings more bandwidth, faster speeds, and near-zero latency; Enables more responsive gaming and video chatting
- Connect More Devices—True Tri-Band and OFDMA technology increase capacity by 4 times to enable simultaneous transmission to more devices
- Unique Design, More RAM, Better Processing - A unique housing design provides optimal heat dissipation, combined with a 1.0 GHz dual-core CPU and 512 MB High-Speed Memory, the AXE75 is designed for long-term reliability and performance.
- EasyMesh-compatible - Extend network range even more by adding EasyMesh-compatible routers, extenders, or wireless powerline adapters for a seamless, whole-home connection. Eliminate dead zones, drops, and lag as you move across your home.
Gaming and utilities
Gaming and utilities were also identified as initial areas for use-case development. Nokia’s announcement did not name specific applications, customers, or APIs for either sector. Network capabilities such as quality on demand, network slicing, or edge cloud may be relevant to application designs, but the announcement does not assign any one of them to a particular Bounteous x Accolite project.

Nokia said that, as of its 1 August 2024 announcement, it had signed collaboration agreements with 17 network operators and ecosystem partners since the Network as Code platform’s launch. That is Nokia’s time-bound figure, not a current partner count or a measure of deployed applications.
The public announcement did not disclose pricing, a rollout schedule, named operator deployments, a project budget, or quantified customer outcomes for this collaboration. It announced work to develop use cases, not evidence that the ambulance example or another application had entered service.

The company name today
The 2024 agreement was announced under the name Bounteous x Accolite. On 13 January 2025, the company announced that it would unify globally under the Bounteous brand. The rebrand updates the company’s name; it does not change what the earlier announcement established about the scope or status of the Nokia collaboration. Bounteous’s rebrand announcement provides the company’s stated timing.
What developers and operators should look for next
For a network API use case to move from a sandbox concept to an operating application, the practical questions are whether the needed APIs are available through the relevant operator, what access and integration conditions apply, and how the application will be tested and commercialized. The 2024 announcement does not answer those project-specific questions. Its significance is that the companies agreed to explore use cases using Nokia’s platform and developer resources, with healthcare, gaming, and utilities as starting points.
