What the reported Blink Outdoor 4 deal includes
Tom’s Guide reported the AU$58.99 price for an Amazon Australia two-pack, compared with AU$179. The report described it as the lowest Amazon price to date for that Australian bundle when published. That is a time-sensitive comparison, not a current-price guarantee or a price available in other countries. See Tom’s Guide’s deal report.
The listing description cited in that report says the bundle includes Sync Module 2. Confirm that detail on the live product page: camera count and included module affect the value, and listings can vary by region or change over time. Compare like with like rather than weighing a two-camera bundle against a single camera’s price.
What to check before you buy
- Region and currency: the reported deal is in Australia and priced in Australian dollars. It does not establish a price elsewhere.
- Bundle contents: confirm that the listing is for two Outdoor 4 cameras and specifies Sync Module 2.
- Stock and current price: verify both on the retailer’s live listing; the reported offer may have ended.
- Power and accessories: the camera uses batteries. Blink lists a Weather-Resistant Power Adapter and Outdoor 4 Battery Extension Pack as optional accessories, so check whether you need them and whether they are compatible with the bundle.
- Ongoing storage and features: decide whether local storage is sufficient or whether a paid plan is worthwhile for cloud history and subscription-dependent features.
What the Blink Outdoor 4 does
Outdoor 4 is a battery-powered Wi-Fi security camera with 1080p HD video, two-way audio, and on-demand Live View in the Blink app. Blink says a Sync Module is required to connect the camera to home Wi-Fi and that Outdoor 4 works with all Blink Sync Modules. Battery life and weather resistance
Blink estimates up to two years of battery life using two non-rechargeable 1.5V lithium AA batteries under default settings. This is a manufacturer estimate, not a guarantee: settings, activity, and environmental conditions can change actual battery life.
Blink rates the camera IP65 weather resistant. Its FAQ warns that removing the port cover removes that weather resistance unless the camera is powered through USB-C with a weather-resistant adapter. Follow the installation and power guidance for the setup you choose.

Person Detection and subscription
Blink says Person Detection requires an active Blink Subscription Plan or trial. A new Outdoor 4 includes a 30-day Blink Plus trial, according to the FAQ; after it ends, a Basic or Plus plan can continue cloud storage and premium features. Blink also says Photo Capture requires an active subscription or trial.
For US customers, Blink currently lists Basic at $3.99 per month or $39.99 per year, and Plus at $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year, before applicable tax. Blink says the increases took effect on renewals on or after October 8, 2025. These are US prices, not the cost in Australia or other markets; check the Blink plans page for current terms and regional availability. Eligible plan cloud recordings can be stored for up to 60 days, according to Blink.

Local storage
Blink’s FAQ describes local storage with a Sync Module 2 and USB drive, or a Sync Module XR and MicroSD card. Blink says Sync Module XR is available in the US and Canada only. The plans page separately describes auto-local backup as a plan feature; that is distinct from the FAQ’s basic local-storage options, and the features are not necessarily identical across setups. Check module compatibility, required storage media, and availability before relying on local recording.

- the verified price in your region and the listing’s current stock status;
- whether battery operation suits the location or you will need a power accessory;
- whether you need Person Detection, Photo Capture, or cloud recording after the trial;
- the plan cost and recording duration available in your country; and
- the module and storage-media cost if you plan to use local storage.
How the deal compares with the original US launch price
Amazon announced Outdoor 4 in 2023 with a US starting price of $119.99 for a one-camera system that included Sync Module 2. That is historical launch pricing, not a current US reference price and not directly comparable to the reported Australian two-camera bundle.
