The BIGBIG WON Rainbow 2 Pro is a feature-rich wireless controller aimed primarily at Nintendo Switch players, with PC use also covered in an independent review. Its Hall effect sticks and triggers, remapping, motion controls and multiple connection options make it flexible, but a reviewer found switching between PC and Switch modes fiddly. Check the official manual for the right setup for your device and connection.
What is the Rainbow 2 Pro?
The Rainbow 2 Pro is a wireless gamepad from BIGBIG WON. BIGBIG WON lists Bluetooth, wired connections and 2.4GHz wireless through a USB adapter. TechRadar characterized it as Switch-focused and reviewer Rhys Wood also tested it on PC in a review published February 27, 2024. That review is a separate article from a TechRadar sponsored headline indexed with a similar title; the sponsored article’s full text was not available, so its claims should not be inferred.
Compatibility and setup can depend on the device, firmware and connection mode. Before connecting it, consult the official BIGBIG WON support page for the product manual and current instructions.
Features and connections
Connection options and polling specifications
BIGBIG WON lists wired, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. Its product page specifies a 1000Hz polling rate over wired connection and 200Hz over 2.4GHz wireless. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results in the TechRadar review or a test conducted for this article. Polling figures alone do not establish a competitive advantage.
Controls and customization
TechRadar describes Hall effect sticks and triggers, gyro motion support, trigger locks, RGB lighting, remappable controls and additional onboard options. BIGBIG WON also presents customizable controls and motion aiming as product features. The official manual and product-specific app resources explain setup and available customization; do not assume a feature behaves identically in every mode.

What the TechRadar reviewer liked—and did not
In his February 27, 2024 review, Rhys Wood praised the textured grip and comfort, button quality, remappable extra buttons and broad feature set. He also listed fiddly switching between XInput and Switch modes and mushy-feeling thumbsticks when clicked as drawbacks. These are that reviewer’s impressions, not guarantees about every user’s experience.

Is the Rainbow 2 Pro worth considering?
It is worth considering if you want a controller with multiple connection options, motion support and extensive remapping, particularly for Switch-focused use with possible PC play. The main cautions are the reviewer’s report of awkward mode switching and mushy stick clicks, plus the need to verify setup and compatibility for your specific device. Compare controllers using the same criteria—platform support, connection modes, comfort, controls, battery conditions and included accessories—rather than treating polling specifications or a single review as proof of overall superiority.
