Embark announced Bully as a new ARC threat arriving with the Frozen Trail update on October 8, 2026, but the available pre-release sources do not establish its attacks, defenses, weak points, or a tested counter. Until those details are documented in live encounters, prepare with a flexible general-purpose loadout—not a claimed Bully-killer build.
What is known about Bully in ARC Raiders
Embark’s August 12, 2026 Frozen Trail announcement set the update’s release for October 8 and described new ARC threats, but did not name a weapon counter. The September 23, 2026 First Look preview identifies Bully among the new ARC, without publishing its attack cycle, armor class, weak points, or encounter instructions. A third-party enemy reference likewise lists Bully as coming October 8 without pre-release tactics.
The sources use the name “Bully.” They do not confirm “Fragmenter” as an official alternate name or descriptor. The title’s wording therefore should not be taken as evidence of a separate enemy variant. At the October 7, 2026 research cutoff, no source-backed claim can establish Bully’s range, health, vulnerabilities, or combat behavior.
How to choose a provisional loadout
Until matchup evidence is available, select gear for the encounter area and the rest of the raid. This is general preparation, not a recommendation proven against Bully. Embark combat designer SprinkleMountain describes the intended role of gear this way: “Your loadout should influence how you move through the world, which fights you take, and how you win them.” The June 27, 2025 combat-design post discusses range and versatility as loadout considerations; it does not identify a Bully build.

- Match weapon range to the space. Favor a weapon you can use effectively in the area where you expect to fight, and plan around available cover and room to move.
- Prioritize control and adaptability. Handling that lets you keep shots on target and a weapon suited to more than one situation may be more useful than specializing around an unverified weak point.
- Plan for the entire raid. Consider ammo availability and carried stack weight, durability and repair resources, and whether your second weapon or utility slot helps with other threats—including other Raiders.
- Wait for evidence before naming a counter. Compare observed damage, ammo spent, survivability, and durability cost in actual encounters before treating any weapon as the best choice.
Is Bettina a good weapon against Bully?
It is a conditional candidate, not a confirmed counter. Embark’s Riven Tides patch 1.26.0 notes increased Bettina’s base damage against ARC armor from 14 to 16—around 33%. That adjustment applies to ARC armor generally; the available sources do not establish that Bully has ARC armor or that Bettina outperforms other weapons against it. Later patches may also change live values.
A third-party weapon database lists Bettina as a heavy-ammo, full-auto weapon and a versatile PvE/PvP option. Treat those as reference information rather than a guarantee of current in-game stats; check the live game before relying on specific values. Even if Bully is confirmed to have ARC armor, the damage adjustment alone would not establish Bettina as the best choice without matchup testing.

What to verify after the update
Once Bully is available, a useful weapon comparison needs more than a damage label. Record what happens in actual encounters, and distinguish observed behavior from assumptions:
- Whether Bully has ARC armor or another documented defense.
- Where shots land and whether any weak point is confirmed.
- Damage and ammunition used with each weapon under comparable conditions.
- How the weapon’s range, handling, and reloads affect the ability to stay safe and keep shots on target.
- The durability and repair-resource cost of a fight, alongside the risk of carrying costly gear into a raid with other threats.
Until those observations or official guidance exist, treat specific Bully tactics and winner rankings as unverified.
