For viewers to browse cartoons already on your YouTube channel, make playlists from the existing uploads. You do not need to upload each episode again. But a playlist is not the same as a continuous live broadcast: YouTube’s published encoder guidance describes sending a video feed to a live stream, not turning a playlist page into a 24/7 live channel. If you need that continuous broadcast, use an encoder workflow with the episode media available to it—and confirm you have the rights to broadcast every episode and its music.

Choose the viewing format that fits your cartoon library

What you want Best fit What viewers get
People browse and watch episodes when they choose Playlists made from existing uploads A list of episodes on demand; no new upload is needed for videos already on the channel.
An event around one already-uploaded episode Schedule the existing video or use a Premiere, if available and suitable for your channel A scheduled viewing event for one video, not a continuous broadcast of a playlist.
One continuous channel that viewers can join at any time An encoder-fed live stream using source media accessible to the encoder A live broadcast assembled from media sent to YouTube; reusing stream settings does not send the episode video for you.

YouTube recommends organizing live archives and highlights into playlists, but its published live-stream guidance does not document broadcasting an existing YouTube playlist as one continuous live stream. Keep the playlist and live-stream formats distinct unless YouTube documents that capability for your account. See Manage live stream settings and Promote your live stream.

Make a playlist without reuploading episodes

  1. Use the videos already on your channel. In YouTube Studio, open your existing uploads and add the episodes to a playlist. YouTube’s interface labels can change, so check the current Studio playlist controls if the path differs.
  2. Give the playlist a useful title and description. Include the series name, season or viewing order, and any context viewers need before starting.
  3. Set the episode order deliberately. Arrange episodes in intended viewing order, especially if the series is serialized. A large library is easier to navigate when separated into sensible series, seasons, or themes rather than one undifferentiated list.
  4. Check access for each video. Private and members-only videos are not available to every viewer. Make sure the playlist’s intended audience can access its episodes.
  5. Link viewers to the playlist. Feature it on the channel and link it from relevant video descriptions so people can find the collection without searching episode by episode.

This is the simplest choice for catalog discovery and catch-up viewing. It reuses published videos; it does not create a live event or change the rights or monetization status of those videos.

How can I stream my YouTube playlist continuously?

YouTube’s cited help pages explain how to send an encoder’s live feed and how to reuse a stream’s settings. They do not describe selecting an existing playlist page and broadcasting it continuously. For a continuous live channel, an encoder must send a feed assembled from source media it can access. The published guidance does not establish that you need to buy a particular computer or hardware encoder: what you need depends on where your source files are and what encoding setup you already have.

What stream settings reuse does—and does not do

YouTube’s “Reuse settings” option copies the previous stream’s metadata, settings, and stream key. It does not copy, queue, or transmit your cartoon episodes. The encoder still needs access to the video feed. Read YouTube’s live stream settings guidance before configuring a broadcast.

Check channel access before scheduling

YouTube’s current live-start help says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days. The help page describes mobile, webcam, and encoder methods; check the current requirements and available features in YouTube Studio before announcing a stream. See Get started with live streaming.

Clear rights before broadcasting cartoons

Permission to upload an episode does not automatically establish permission to use it in a live broadcast, in every territory, or with its music. Verify rights for the exact episodes, territories, music, and live and archived uses. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights, including music licensing rights: Livestream terms and conditions.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder, warn the creator, and interrupt or terminate the broadcast if the content remains. If you have a licence, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A territorial restriction alone may not prevent an interruption without that allowlisting. Details are in Copyright issues with live streams.

Understand monetization and catch-up limits

Owning or licensing episodes does not guarantee monetization

YouTube Partner Program eligibility is assessed under its monetization policies, including rules on reused and repetitive content. The policy applies to live streams as well as other video formats. A library’s ownership or licence alone is not a guarantee of ad eligibility; review YouTube channel monetization policies for how originality and meaningful contribution are assessed.

Very long streams may not support full rewind

YouTube’s DVR feature lets viewers pause and rewind during a live stream, but DVR capabilities may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. Viewers also cannot seek to a point before the stream began. For the platform’s details, see Turn on DVR on live streams.

Keep an archive and organize it for later viewing

YouTube says live-stream archives are uploaded to the channel by default and recommends organizing archives and highlights into playlists. Check the archive and visibility settings in Live Control Room, then place accessible episodes or highlights in playlists so viewers can find them after the event.

Troubleshoot the most common problems

Problem Likely explanation What to check or do
A playlist does not appear to viewers Its visibility or the access settings of one or more videos may restrict the intended audience. Review playlist visibility and each episode’s access setting in YouTube Studio; private and members-only videos are not universally accessible.
Reusing stream settings does not start the cartoon feed Settings reuse copies metadata, settings, and the key—not episode media. Make sure the encoder is sending a feed assembled from source media it can access.
YouTube blocks or interrupts the live broadcast A Content ID match or other third-party content issue may have been detected. Confirm rights for the exact material and ask the rights owner about adding the channel to its Content ID allowlist.
Viewers cannot rewind far enough DVR may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours, and it cannot go back before the live stream began. Set viewer expectations and provide an organized archive or playlist for catch-up where appropriate.
The channel cannot start a live stream The channel may not meet current verification or restriction requirements, or a feature may not be available to it. Check YouTube Studio and the current live-stream eligibility guidance before scheduling.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you specifically need an always-on YouTube broadcast of uploaded cartoon videos, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, without re-encoding or quality tiers, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; one free day is available per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos to YouTube; it does not broadcast from a camera. Rights clearance and YouTube’s monetization policies still apply.
