For a single large waterproof motorcycle rollbag, compare the 40 L Kriega ROLLPACK 40 and GIVI GRT712C. If you want capacity that can shrink when you pack less, Kriega’s US-40 Rackpack adjusts from 28 L to 40 L. For a modular drypack setup, consider the Kriega US-30; for rackless luggage, the Mosko Moto Reckless 40 is a different kind of system rather than a single bag.
These are manufacturer specifications, not results from a controlled comparison. A bag’s stated waterproof construction and capacity do not establish how it performs in every storm or how much luggage you need for a particular trip.

| Kriega US-30 Drypack | 30 L | Standalone drypack that attaches with hook straps to four subframe loops; other US-Drypacks can be added | Roll-top main compartment and removable taped-seam liner; manufacturer describes modular configurations up to 70 L |
| GIVI EA115GRB | 40 L | Seat bag secured with two elastic straps | Roll-top access, high-frequency-welded seamless PVC tarpaulin, carry handle and shoulder strap |
| Mosko Moto Reckless 40 | Configuration-dependent; the product page specifies a range rather than one fixed system capacity | Rackless multi-bag luggage system | Includes three waterproof roll-top dry bags and an 8 L Stinger tail bag |
Capacity, weight, construction, and included components above are specifications published by the respective manufacturers in 2026. They are not independently measured comparisons. Check each product page for current details and availability in your market.
What size waterproof motorcycle bag do you need for a weekend or week-long trip?
The documented individual bags range from 20 L to 40 L: Kriega lists its US-20 at 20 L, US-30 at 30 L, ROLLPACK 40 at 40 L, and US-40 Rackpack at an adjustable 28–40 L. Kriega says its US-Drypacks can be combined in a modular system of up to 70 L. Mosko Moto’s Reckless 40 is a multi-bag system with configuration-dependent capacity, not a single fixed-volume duffel.

- 【Zipper-free closure】The main compartment features a roll-top closure that does not rely on a zipper, eliminating concerns about zipper jams, separation, or failure during your trip. The wide opening also makes bulky items easy to load and unload
- 【Superior waterproofing】This waterproof duffel bag is made from durable 500D PVC with high-frequency welded seams to help keep your belongings dry, even during heavy rain and harsh weather conditions
- 【Ample capacity】Available in 30L, 50L, and 70L sizes, this motorcycle tail bag provides ample room for clothing, camping gear, and other travel essentials. The air-release valve removes trapped air for more compact packing, while the MOLLE attachment points accommodate compatible pouches, bottle holders, keychains, and other accessories
- 【Organized storage】The internal pocket accommodates devices up to 15 inches in the 30L bag and up to 17 inches in the 50L and 70L bags. External mesh pockets keep wet or frequently used items separate from the dry gear inside the main compartment
- 【Easy installation】This motorcycle luggage bag includes four tie-down straps, a padded shoulder strap, and two connecting buckles. The tie-down straps allow it to be securely mounted on a motorcycle rear seat or luggage rack in as little as 20 seconds. The shoulder strap provides comfortable off-bike carrying, while the connecting buckles allow compatible tail bags to be linked and stacked
There is no universal volume that corresponds to a week on the road. Your clothing, weather, camping equipment, and any luggage already on the motorcycle all affect how much space you need. Choose a capacity by laying out what you plan to carry and allowing for the items that must remain accessible; do not treat trip length as a guaranteed bag-size formula.
Choose a standalone bag when one compartment is enough
A 30–40 L bag is the range to compare if you want one main load in a single rollbag. The ROLLPACK 40 and GRT712C both list 40 L; the US-30 offers 30 L. These figures describe nominal product capacity, not a promise that every packing list will fit.

Choose adjustable or modular capacity when your load varies
The US-40 Rackpack’s listed usable capacity adjusts from 28 L to 40 L, which can suit riders who want one bag without always using its maximum volume. The US-30 can be combined with other US-Drypacks; Kriega describes a system capacity up to 70 L. That modular approach adds options, but it is not the same as carrying one large compartment.
How do the waterproof claims differ?
Manufacturers describe different constructions, and those descriptions should not be treated as a head-to-head waterproof rating. Kriega describes taped-seam removable liners in its ROLLPACK 40 and US-40 Rackpack; the US-30 also has a removable liner with taped seams. GIVI describes high-frequency-welded, seamless construction for the GRT712C and EA115GRB. SW-MOTECH describes its DryBag range as soft PVC waterproof bags and its separate SysBag WP range as TPU bags.

A roll-top closure is part of the system, not a substitute for fitting and closing the bag as its manufacturer directs. The cited product descriptions do not establish comparative water-ingress results under controlled conditions, so no option can be ranked here as the one that stays driest.
How do you secure a rollbag to a motorcycle?
Mounting depends on both the bag and the motorcycle. Before choosing, check that the attachment points are structural and accessible, the bag clears the exhaust and moving parts, and it cannot shift into the wheel or interfere with the rider or passenger.

Mosko Moto Reckless 40: rackless multi-bag luggage
Reckless 40 is a rackless system with a harness, beavertail, connection points, three waterproof roll-top dry bags, and an included 8 L Stinger tail bag. Its total capacity depends on configuration, so compare the product page’s capacity range with the space and mounting arrangement on your motorcycle rather than treating “40” as a single-bag volume.
SW-MOTECH: compare ranges by model
SW-MOTECH’s DryBag range comprises six soft PVC models with integrated fastening straps; the manufacturer describes mounting on a passenger seat, luggage rack, or crash bars and combining bags. SysBag WP is a separate TPU range offered in three sizes. The range overview does not state model-by-model capacities, so it cannot support a direct capacity comparison with a 40 L bag.
What should you check before buying?
- Bike fit: identify usable rack, seat, or frame/subframe anchor points; check clearance and load stability for your specific motorcycle.
- Capacity: compare the listed litres with your actual packing list and any other luggage you will carry.
- Access: the ROLLPACK 40 and US-40 Rackpack have double-ended roll-top closures; consider whether access from both ends helps with your packing layout.
- Carry off the bike: the GRT712C lists two removable padded straps for backpack-style carry. The EA115GRB lists a shoulder strap and carry handle.
- Format: decide whether you want one standalone bag, a modular drypack arrangement, or a rackless harness system.
- Current listing: specifications, product revisions, stock, and regional availability can change. Confirm the current manufacturer listing and fit for your market before ordering.
Prices and stock were not established for these models, so compare current local listings directly rather than relying on an outdated price.
