There is no single best Samsung TV for every room or viewer. For 2026, start with the job you need the TV to do: consider Samsung’s OLED models for gaming and deep blacks, Neo QLED for a bright room and large-screen gaming, Mini LED for sports and everyday viewing, Crystal UHD for a lower-cost 4K option, Micro RGB for a premium color-focused screen, or The Frame for artwork and interior design. Those are Samsung’s category descriptions, not proof that one family outperforms another; check independent reviews of the exact model and size before you buy.

Use this shortlist to identify models worth comparing, then check your local Samsung listing and independent testing for the exact model, screen size, and market. Samsung’s guide describes six broad families and their intended uses, but model availability and features can differ by country. Choose based on your room and viewing habits
Room brightness and reflections
If you watch in a sunlit room or opposite windows, brightness and reflection handling may matter more than the deepest blacks in a dark-room movie scene. Look for exact-model reviews that evaluate reflections and bright-room performance rather than relying on the family name alone.
Movies, sports, streaming, and games
Movies often reward strong contrast and dark-scene performance; sports put more weight on motion and how the TV handles broadcast sources; everyday streaming may expose differences in upscaling. For games, check the exact model’s refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 ports, and variable refresh rate (VRR), then confirm they meet your console or PC requirements. Samsung’s category labels do not establish that every model in a family has the same capabilities.

Screen size, price, and design
Pick a size only after considering your seating distance, wall width, and the sizes sold in your country. Compare street prices for the same screen size and a similar feature tier; suggested prices can change. If the screen will function as a room feature, The Frame’s art display and design may be worth prioritizing over a conventional price-and-picture comparison.
Check the exact model and market before comparing reviews
Samsung’s 2026 model names and features are not necessarily identical in every country. Even flagship OLED naming can be confusing: What Hi-Fi? reported on September 30, 2026 that the UK S99H is known elsewhere as the S95H, while the UK also has a distinct S95H configuration. Match the country-specific SKU and hardware before using a review to judge a listing or comparing prices.

Independent recommendation lists can help narrow the field, but they are not universal verdicts. TechRadar’s Samsung TV guide, updated August 19, 2026, describes its reviewers’ real-world and specialist-equipment testing and considers picture quality, gaming, audio, use, size, price, and features. Treat any pick as a recommendation for the model and market reviewed, not a substitute for checking the TV you can actually buy.

Samsung says it has ranked as the world’s leading TV brand for 20 consecutive years, citing Omdia’s 2025 figures. Those figures are about revenue share, not a demonstrated ranking by number of units sold: Omdia figures reported by Samsung put its global TV market share at 29.1% in 2025, its share of TVs priced above $2,500 at 54.3%, and its share of the segment above $1,500 at 52.2%.
