For laptops under ₹40,000 in India, compare the exact model code and configuration—not just the product family. The Acer Aspire Lite AL15-41 (UN.31ZSI.023) stands out on paper in the listings reviewed: it pairs a Ryzen 5 5625U with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD for a listed ₹35,999. If you prefer a 14-inch laptop, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 82RJ0040IN is listed at ₹39,572. These are comparison-site prices, not guaranteed checkout prices or hands-on recommendations.

Which configuration should you choose?
For the most memory in the listed general-use options
The Acer Aspire Lite AL15-41 (UN.31ZSI.023) is the clearest on-paper choice in this shortlist if you want 16 GB RAM, a Ryzen 5 5625U, and a 512 GB SSD while staying below the listed budget. Confirm the full code: Smartprix also lists an AL15-41 with a Ryzen 3 5300U and 8 GB RAM. The family name alone does not identify the configuration.
For a smaller 14-inch display
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 82RJ0040IN is the listed 14-inch alternative, with a Core i3-1215U, 8 GB DDR4, and 512 GB SSD. Its listed ₹39,572 price leaves little room below the ₹40,000 limit, so check the final price before ordering.

For a lower-priced 15.6-inch option
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 1 82VG009MIN is listed at ₹34,899 with a Ryzen 3 7320U, 8 GB LPDDR5, and a 512 GB SSD. It offers a lower listed price than the two configurations above, but the shortlist does not establish comparative real-world speed or battery life.
Why prices and model listings can disagree
Comparison pages may show different variants from the same product family. For example, Smartprix lists an Acer Aspire Lite AL15-41 with a Ryzen 3 5300U and 8 GB RAM at ₹34,990, while 91mobiles lists the AL15-41 (UN.31ZSI.023) with a Ryzen 5 5625U and 16 GB RAM at ₹35,999. These are different configurations, not necessarily conflicting prices for one identical laptop.

- 【Display】15.6" FHD, IPS, LED, 300 nits, Micro-edge, Anti-glare, 1920 x 1080 resolution.
- 【Memory & Storage】Equipped Up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, Up to 2TB PCIe Solid State Drive.
Prices are point-in-time listings: 91mobiles says its prices were updated October 4, 2026, and Smartprix says its list was updated October 5, 2026. Digit’s roundup may include models priced above the stated threshold. A laptop appearing on an “under ₹40,000” page does not by itself confirm that it is currently available within budget.
What to verify before you buy
- Match the full model code. Compare the code on the retailer’s product page with the code in the listing, then check processor, RAM capacity and type, SSD capacity, and display size and resolution.
- Check the seller and stock. Confirm that the exact configuration is available for your delivery location and note the seller shown at checkout.
- Confirm the final price. Recheck the checkout total against your ₹40,000 ceiling; comparison-site prices can change and may not match an offer available at purchase time.
- Read the warranty terms. The Smartprix listings above state a one-year warranty for the Lenovo models. Check the retailer and manufacturer terms for the exact unit you intend to buy.
What these listings do—and do not—tell you
The comparison pages establish listed specifications and prices, not tested performance. They do not establish how long a laptop lasts on battery, how fast it feels in everyday work, or how well its construction holds up. Use the configurations to narrow your shortlist, then verify the exact product and terms with the seller before paying.
