Recommended starting settings
PCGamesN’s guide, updated August 14, 2025, offers a performance-oriented baseline tested on a system with an Intel Core i7-11700F, GeForce RTX 4060, and 32 GB of RAM. Treat it as one outlet’s tested configuration, not an official universal preset: results depend on your hardware, resolution, display, and preferred balance of image quality and smoothness.

PCGamesN says it chose these settings using a repeatable in-game sequence. The configuration is a useful comparison point, but no sourced test establishes a fixed frame rate or a guaranteed improvement for every PC.
How to tune for your PC
1. Run the in-game benchmark
Go to Settings → Graphics Options → Run Benchmark, then apply the suggested global quality preset. The game also lets you adjust individual graphics settings across Ultra, High, Medium, and Low. Use the preset as a baseline, then make changes one at a time so you can tell what helps on your system.

2. Set resolution and upscaling
The game defaults to your active display resolution, and resolution can affect performance. The PC FAQ lists NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS upscaling; it does not establish one universally best option. Choose the method your hardware supports, and compare the available modes at your target resolution. In windowed-fullscreen, upscaling can render at a percentage of the display resolution; the FAQ recommends considering Upscale Mode to render to a higher target resolution with minimal artifacts.
If you are not using upscaling, the FAQ lists TAA High, TAA Low, and NVIDIA DLAA among the anti-aliasing options. DLSS Frame Generation is also listed as supported; frame-generation availability and features can depend on hardware.

3. Adjust quality settings in small steps
Graphics options can affect GPU performance, CPU performance, and VRAM use. If the game still feels uneven, lower a few settings from the starting configuration and compare the same gameplay area. There is no source-backed rule that one setting is always the bottleneck; the limiting factor varies with your PC, resolution, and scene.
4. Keep ray tracing off when prioritizing this baseline
The cited performance-oriented configuration turns ray tracing off. Portkey’s FAQ says ray tracing is off by default, its features are toggled individually, and turning it on or off requires a game restart. It can affect both GPU and CPU performance, so enable it only if its visual benefits are worth the cost on your system.
5. Judge performance in real gameplay
Different locations can stress the system differently, and frame rates may vary across environments. Check the places you actually play rather than treating the benchmark or a menu preset as proof of a fixed result.
What the official PC requirements indicate
Warner Bros. Games publishes the following system tiers, each requiring DirectX 12. They are stated targets, not guarantees of measured performance on every configuration. The specifications page does not state a date; it was accessed in 2026.

These figures can help you compare your PC with the publisher’s targets, but they do not identify which component is limiting your own performance. The minimum tier supports an HDD, while the higher tiers specify an SSD; the published specifications do not establish an SSD as a general frame-rate upgrade.

The latest PC feature update covered here is the official January 30, 2025 patch. It added individually exposed ray-tracing quality controls, including geometry quality, improved fidelity for ray-traced reflections, and reflections on bodies of water. It also added NVIDIA DLSS 4, Ray Reconstruction, and Multi-Frame Generation for RTX 50-series GPUs. The patch notes say ray-tracing feature quality settings are exposed individually except for ray-traced ambient occlusion.
Avalanche Software’s January 30, 2025 update described the patch as adding “key updates around modding support and raytracing features, as well as support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 and the latest GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.” Feature availability may depend on the GPU and the option selected.
