For smoother play, start at your display’s native resolution, choose a frame-rate target your system can sustain, then test one compatible upscaler or graphics change at a time with the game’s built-in benchmark. Keep the changes that improve frame consistency without making the image or controls feel worse.
Check PC requirements and available features first
The PC version requires a graphics card that supports hardware ray tracing; this is a system requirement, not an optional graphics effect to disable for extra performance. Check the current Steam listing for the live requirement and feature details, and consult Xbox’s launch PC specifications announcement for the final spec image. Xbox announced those specifications on September 17, 2026, and says the image was updated September 28. Its article notes ongoing work on stability and performance after the July open beta, so do not rely on an earlier beta specification table.
The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and DirectX 12. Supported upscaling options vary by hardware and software: Xbox identifies AMD FSR, Unreal Engine TSR, and Intel XeSS; Steam lists NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR Redstone, as well as optional Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation on supported hardware. The options shown in your game may differ according to your system and updates.
Xbox also describes Advanced Shader Delivery on compatible hardware and supported storefronts. It supplies precompiled shaders and can reduce shader-related stutter during first runs on compatible systems. It is a platform feature, not an in-game graphics setting.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set a target before changing graphics
Choose the frame rate you want to hold at the resolution and refresh rate you actually use. A setting that produces a higher peak but frequently drops below your target may feel less smooth than one with steadier delivery. If you do not know what your PC can sustain, use a repeatable benchmark run as your starting point rather than guessing from a different player’s setup.
- Start at your display’s native resolution if performance allows.
- If performance falls short, test a compatible upscaler in Quality mode first. If that is not enough, try a more performance-oriented mode and check image detail as well as frame consistency.
- Change one variable per test. Record the resolution, upscaler mode, graphics changes, and observed smoothness so you can tell what helped.
These are general tuning steps, not a verified universal E-Day preset. The available evidence does not establish exact low-, mid-, or high-tier presets or predictable frame rates for particular GPUs.

Use the benchmark to compare settings fairly
Steam lists a built-in benchmark mode. Run it under the same conditions before and after a change; do not compare results from unrelated scenes and attribute the difference to a setting. If the benchmark reports average and low-percentile frame rates, consider both: the lower-percentile result can help reveal dips that an average hides.
- Run the benchmark at native resolution with your current settings, and note the result and any visible stutter.
- Change one option, such as the upscaler mode, then run the same benchmark again.
- Compare frame delivery and image quality. Look for softness, shimmering, ghosting, or other temporal artifacts, not just a higher number.
- Keep or revert the change, then test the next option separately.
For a choice involving frame generation, also consider perceived input latency and visual artifacts. A higher displayed frame rate is not the same as a more responsive underlying frame rate.

Try upscaling before reducing visual detail
First compare native rendering with one upscaler available on your system. Start with Quality mode, then move toward a more performance-oriented mode only if you still need more headroom. Judge the result at your normal viewing distance: the faster mode may improve performance but reduce fine detail or introduce distracting artifacts.
If you have compatible hardware and the game offers frame generation, test it as a separate option after establishing acceptable performance without it. It can raise displayed frame rates, but it does not replace a responsive base frame rate. Keep it enabled only if the smoother motion is worth any added latency or artifacts for your game and display.

If resolution scaling and upscaling are not enough, lower demanding visual options incrementally and benchmark each change. No cited controlled, cross-GPU test establishes which individual E-Day graphics setting is the largest performance bottleneck, so avoid making several reductions at once.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Leave Low Core Mode off unless you are troubleshooting
Low Core Mode is not a general-purpose performance boost. Tom’s Hardware reported lower performance with the mode enabled across its 25-CPU test pool. In a separate, deliberately constrained dual-core test, however, it helped with asset streaming and freezing. That makes it a conditional troubleshooting option for low-core-count systems or handhelds, not a default setting.

- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
If you are seeing asset-streaming problems or freezes on a low-core-count device, compare the same scene with the mode off and on. Keep it only if it improves the problem without causing unacceptable performance loss.
Use benchmark figures as examples, not targets
Results from other systems illustrate why a universal preset or FPS promise would be misleading. Tom’s Guide reported about 50 FPS at 4K High on one configuration with a Ryzen 7 9700X, GeForce RTX 5070, and 32GB RAM. In that review setup, enabling DLSS 4.5 dynamic frame generation and dynamic upscaling while raising ray-traced settings produced about 115 FPS. Those are results from one review configuration and test, not expected performance on other PCs.
NVIDIA says RTX Mega Geometry requires an RTX graphics card with at least 12GB of VRAM. That is a requirement for this optional feature, not the baseline PC requirement for the game. NVIDIA’s published performance multipliers and frame-rate claims are vendor benchmarks under specified RTX 50-series conditions; treat them as vendor results rather than independent or typical outcomes.
Account for the platform you play on
Xbox lists Xbox Series X|S support for 4K Ultra HD, HDR, and 60 FPS with a compatible display. Those are console capabilities, not a universal PC performance target. The Xbox product page also lists Windows 10/11 and an October 6, 2026 release date; see the Xbox product page for its current platform details.
