There is no verified best-settings preset for ATMOSFAR yet. As of October 7, 2026, its Steam page says the game is coming soon and is not yet available, so its graphics menu and the performance impact of individual options cannot be confirmed. You can still use the published PC requirements to gauge your system and follow a careful tuning process when a playable build is released.
Why a tested settings preset is not available yet
ATMOSFAR is planned for Early Access, but Steam currently lists it as coming soon and says it is not yet available. The listing does not document an in-game graphics menu or provide setting-by-setting benchmarks. That means options such as shadows, volumetric clouds, anti-aliasing, and upscaling cannot be presented as confirmed ATMOSFAR settings, and there is no evidence-based ranking of which options to lower for more performance.
The developer statement on Steam describes ATMOSFAR as “an ambitious title comprised of several exciting gameplay elements ranging from an aerial world of floating islands, flying crafts of varying type and the Cloud Cruiser, a massive fully base buildable flying airship.” That description establishes the game’s broad setting, not the graphics features or performance behavior of a playable build.
Steam also cautions that system requirements may change during development. Check the ATMOSFAR Steam listing for current availability and specifications when the game becomes playable.

How to judge whether your PC is prepared
Compare your processor and graphics card with the corresponding Steam tiers, then check memory and available storage. Meeting the minimum specification does not establish that a particular resolution, graphics preset, or frame rate will run smoothly; Steam does not publish targets for those outcomes.
If your PC is below the recommended graphics tier, that alone does not prove you need an upgrade. The listing supplies no benchmark results or required FPS, so wait for a playable build and credible testing before making a purchase based on expected performance.

How to tune settings once ATMOSFAR is playable
Use this general troubleshooting method with the options that actually appear in the released build. It is not a tested ATMOSFAR preset.
- Start with an in-game preset. Choose a preset as a baseline rather than changing several options at once.
- Set resolution and a frame-rate goal. Use the resolution you intend to play at and decide what level of smoothness matters for your display and preferences. Neither is specified as a target by Steam’s requirements.
- Test a repeatable scene. Revisit the same location and activity after each change so comparisons are more useful than testing different scenes.
- Change one available option at a time. Record the frame rate and whether motion feels consistent before and after each adjustment. Do not assume a setting exists unless it is present in the build.
- Investigate other limits if image-quality reductions do not help. A slowdown is not necessarily GPU-bound; CPU or memory limits may be involved. Lowering graphics quality repeatedly may not resolve those bottlenecks.
What would make a future settings recommendation reliable
A useful ATMOSFAR preset needs a playable version, confirmed menu options, and comparisons on specified hardware at stated resolutions. Until that information exists, the published requirements can help you compare PC components, but they cannot identify which graphics options have the greatest performance cost.
