The right choice depends on whether you need FAQ automation, live-chat handoff, product discovery, customer-specific order information, or shopping actions such as cart updates. It also depends on integration depth, data handling, compatibility with your Magento and PHP versions, and total recurring cost.
This comparison focuses on two Magento Marketplace extensions with detailed, store-specific capabilities, Adobe’s native AI direction, and five hosted customer-service products identified as Magento options by a vendor-authored comparison. Vendor descriptions establish what a product says it can do—not independent evidence of answer quality, conversion lift, or savings.

The Asyntai comparison is written by a vendor that includes its own product among the options. It is useful for identifying additional names, but does not independently substantiate rankings, detailed integration behavior, or current rates. This article therefore distinguishes those discovery-list products from the two Marketplace listings that describe Magento-specific functions in more detail.
What “Magento chatbot” can mean
Products sold under the chatbot label can solve very different problems. A storefront widget may answer public FAQ or product questions; a helpdesk-connected bot may collect a ticket and route a conversation; a shopping assistant may use store data to find products or interact with a cart. Those distinctions matter because a bot that reads public catalog information does not necessarily have permission or technical access to a logged-in shopper’s order.

1. WisWes: API-connected shopping and store actions
The Adobe Commerce Marketplace listing describes WisWes as a conversational shopping assistant that calls Magento APIs through a stateless /mcp endpoint. Its listing specifies 22 typed tools spanning catalog, cart, checkout, customer, sales, and wishlist functions. It also says logged-in shopper actions use Magento customer bearer tokens, a detail relevant to access control for account-specific actions. These are listing claims, not an independent security or performance assessment. See the WisWes Marketplace listing.
Compatibility and cost
The listing reports Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4.4–2.4.7 compatibility, PHP 8.1–8.3 support, and support for default and Hyvä themes. It identifies version 1.0.7 and an update date of July 7, 2026. A merchant should match those stated versions against the deployed store, theme, extensions, and customizations rather than assuming compatibility beyond the listed range.
The Magento integration is described as free and open source, but WisWes separately lists service plans: Basic at $39.99 per month, Pro at $179.99 per month, and Enterprise from $499 per month. The listing says model usage fees are passed through. These are prices shown on the Marketplace listing as accessed October 4, 2026; they can change and do not establish a store’s full cost, which may include usage and implementation.
Who it may suit—and what to check
WisWes is the most explicitly action-oriented option in the detailed Marketplace material: its described tool set reaches beyond public product questions to cart, checkout, customer, sales, and wishlist functions. That makes it relevant when the goal is a conversational shopping flow rather than only FAQ responses. Before enabling those operations, establish which actions are allowed, how shopper identity is confirmed, what data is exposed to the service or model, and whether the store’s custom checkout and catalog behave as expected.

2. ThinkODC AI Chatbot & Virtual Shopping Assistant: product search and order workflows
The Marketplace listing describes ThinkODC as a storefront assistant for natural-language product search, price and Magento-attribute filters, cart additions, checkout access, order history and tracking, wishlist access, and multi-store configuration. It reports version 1.3.0 and a compliance update dated February 17, 2026, with Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4 compatibility. Those are listing details; confirm current compatibility before installation. See the ThinkODC Marketplace listing.
Data handling and provider charges
ThinkODC’s listing says sensitive customer information is processed in Magento server-side sessions and is not transmitted to external AI providers. It says product-search context and non-personal query data are sent to the provider selected by the merchant. A separate AI-provider account is required, and provider usage fees may apply. The listing’s description is not a substitute for reviewing the actual data flow, provider terms, retention settings, or the merchant’s privacy and legal obligations.
Who it may suit—and what to check
ThinkODC may fit a store seeking a guided product-finding experience alongside cart and order-related flows, especially where multi-store configuration matters. Its described privacy boundary is an important differentiator to investigate: merchants should verify what the extension classifies as sensitive or non-personal, how session identity is established, and what requests reach the selected provider. The cited listing information does not establish the extension’s price.

3. Adobe Brand Concierge and Catalog Agent: native Adobe AI direction
Adobe currently promotes AI-powered conversations through Brand Concierge and Catalog Agent, alongside semantic search and support for agentic-commerce protocols. This is Adobe’s platform-level product positioning, not confirmation that every capability is included in every Adobe Commerce edition, contract, or deployment. Review Adobe’s Commerce AI page.
This route is relevant to merchants already evaluating Adobe’s own commerce capabilities, but it should be compared with extensions at the level of the actual subscription and release. Confirm the applicable SKU, availability, integration behavior, and any required Adobe services before treating a promoted capability as included in the store’s current setup. The cited product page does not state pricing.
4. Asyntai: a discovery-list option requiring direct validation
Asyntai appears in a vendor-authored comparison of Magento and Adobe Commerce chatbot options published April 27, 2026. Because Asyntai is itself one of the compared vendors, that article is a discovery source rather than neutral evidence of ranking or feature superiority. The cited information does not establish the exact Magento operations, compatibility range, current plans, or prices for this product. Read the comparison.
Consider it only after checking its own current documentation for the Magento connector, what storefront or customer data it uses, how conversations reach staff, and whether provider or subscription charges apply. No independent performance result is established in the cited material.
5. Gorgias: a customer-service platform named for Magento
Gorgias is listed as a Magento/Adobe Commerce option in the April 27, 2026 Asyntai comparison. That source identifies it as an option but does not, in the cited information, establish the connector’s precise capabilities, supported Magento releases, AI features, or current pricing. See the vendor-authored comparison.
For a store considering a service platform rather than a standalone shopping assistant, the key distinction is whether the Magento connection brings useful order and customer context into the support workflow or merely places a chat widget on the storefront. Confirm that distinction in Gorgias’s current product documentation and test the store’s actual order and escalation scenarios.
6. Re:amaze: a customer-service option named for Magento
Re:amaze is also named in the same vendor-authored Magento and Adobe Commerce comparison. The cited source does not establish its present Magento integration depth, AI and automation scope, compatibility, or rates, so those details should not be inferred from its inclusion in a comparison list. See the comparison.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
When evaluating it, distinguish an inbox or live-chat workflow from a bot that can search products or take store actions. The current documentation should answer whether Magento data is available to agents or automation, what triggers ticket creation, and how unresolved or sensitive cases are handed to a person.
7. Zendesk: a helpdesk option named for Magento
Zendesk appears among the Magento and Adobe Commerce options in the Asyntai comparison dated April 27, 2026. The cited discovery source does not establish which Zendesk product or plan is required, the exact Magento connector functions, AI availability, supported store versions, or current prices. See the comparison.

8. Freshdesk: a helpdesk option named for Magento
Freshdesk is identified as a Magento and Adobe Commerce alternative in the same vendor-authored comparison. The cited information does not detail its current Magento integration, supported versions, plan requirements, AI functions, or price. See the comparison.
It belongs on a shortlist when the buyer is considering a service desk workflow as well as customer-facing automation. Check whether its Magento connection exposes order context to agents, supports the required ticket and escalation path, and covers the channels the store actually uses.
9. HubSpot Service Hub: a service platform named for Magento
HubSpot Service Hub is named in the Asyntai comparison as a Magento/Adobe Commerce option. The cited source does not establish the precise integration, supported editions or versions, chatbot feature availability, or current pricing. See the comparison.
Its inclusion is a reason to check current HubSpot documentation if the store is already considering a broader service workflow; it is not evidence that a particular chatbot or Magento action is included in a given Service Hub plan. Determine what customer and order data is synchronized and how support conversations are routed.

10. Crisp: a customer-service option named for Magento
Crisp is also listed as a Magento and Adobe Commerce chatbot or customer-service option in the April 27, 2026 comparison. The cited source does not establish the product’s present Magento connector details, AI and automation scope, compatibility, or price. See the comparison.
Check whether the current integration supports the specific need—such as live-chat escalation, ticketing, catalog questions, or authenticated order status—rather than treating “Magento integration” as proof that all of these functions are available.
How to choose a Magento chatbot
1. Define the job before comparing brands
Write down the first customer problem the assistant must solve: repeated policy questions, finding products, checking an order, escalating to support, or changing a cart. Decide whether the bot needs to answer from public information or act on a signed-in shopper’s data. The latter raises both integration and access-control requirements.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
2. Establish the integration depth you need
A storefront JavaScript widget, a Magento module, a helpdesk connector, an API connection, and an assistant that acts through store APIs are not equivalent. Ask which operations work in the actual Magento edition, release, theme, custom modules, and checkout flow. For any claim involving cart, account, or order actions, identify the API and authorization method involved.
3. Map the data boundary
List the information the chatbot would access—catalog, cart, customer identity, order history, or support conversation—and identify what leaves Magento. Ask how logged-in users are authenticated, whether provider prompts or logs retain personal data, and which privacy disclosures or consent practices need review. A vendor’s data-handling description should be checked against the deployed configuration and provider terms.
4. Confirm compatibility and ownership
Match Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce edition and version, PHP version, theme, multi-store setup, and headless requirements to the connector’s stated support. Decide who will install, test, update, monitor, and troubleshoot the integration. Customizations can change behavior even when the base version appears supported.
5. Design human handoff
Specify which questions must go to a person, where conversations land, what context the agent receives, and how urgent or sensitive cases are escalated. A chatbot that can answer FAQs but loses the conversation context during handoff may not meet a support team’s needs.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
6. Calculate the full recurring cost
Include the extension, hosted service, AI-provider usage, seats or conversation limits, installation, and ongoing support. A free or open-source integration can still depend on paid service plans or model usage. Recheck current prices and terms at purchase because listing rates can change.
What to test before launch
Use a staging environment that matches the live store, including its edition, version, theme, catalog structure, customer session behavior, and custom modules. Test the cases the assistant is expected to handle, not just its opening message.
- Search for products using common shopper language, attributes, price ranges, and ambiguous terms.
- Check whether cart additions, checkout links, and wishlist actions behave correctly across relevant store views.
- Test order-status requests as both an authenticated customer and an unauthenticated visitor; verify that one customer cannot see another customer’s information.
- Inspect provider requests and logs to understand what customer, order, or query data is transmitted and retained.
- Test failed answers, unsupported requests, and sensitive issues to ensure the handoff reaches staff with useful context.
- Confirm behavior on the actual theme and storefront, including any headless or multi-store configuration.
The available product descriptions do not establish independent conversion, support-deflection, response-quality, or ROI results for these tools. Treat such outcomes as questions for a measured pilot, not guaranteed benefits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which chatbot has the deepest documented Magento actions here?
WisWes’ Marketplace listing is the most explicit about API-based actions, describing 22 typed tools across catalog, cart, checkout, customer, sales, and wishlist functions. ThinkODC’s listing separately describes product search, cart and checkout access, order history and tracking, wishlist, and multi-store configuration.
Can a Magento chatbot safely answer questions about a customer’s order?
It can only do so appropriately if the integration identifies and authorizes the shopper before exposing account-specific information. WisWes says logged-in actions use Magento customer bearer tokens; ThinkODC says sensitive customer data is processed in Magento server-side sessions. Those are vendor listing descriptions, so verify actual behavior and data flows in the deployed setup.
Does a free Magento extension mean the chatbot is free to run?
No. WisWes describes its integration as free and open source while listing separate paid service plans and pass-through model usage fees. ThinkODC requires a separate AI-provider account and says additional provider charges may apply.
Are the prices and compatibility details guaranteed to be current?
No. The WisWes Marketplace listing accessed October 4, 2026 reports its plan prices and compatibility range; ThinkODC’s listing reports version and compatibility information updated in February 2026. Listings can change, and compatibility depends on the deployed store and customizations.
Does Adobe Commerce include Brand Concierge or Catalog Agent in every plan?
The cited Adobe product page promotes these capabilities but does not establish availability in every edition, subscription, or deployment. Check the merchant’s exact SKU and release documentation.
