Which BGMI settings should you use for smooth gameplay?
Use the highest frame-rate choice available in BGMI’s graphics menu, rather than assuming every device can run 90 or 120 FPS. Pair it with Smooth graphics as a sensible starting point if responsiveness matters more to you than visual detail. A third-party settings guide recommends this combination, but BGMI does not describe it as a universal official preset, and it does not guarantee a particular frame rate or improvement on your device. If you prefer richer visuals, raise the graphics quality only if your game remains stable during play. The reviewed sources do not establish a universal best balance for every device, or controlled results for frame-rate stability, heat, battery use, or latency at different settings.
How to enable 90 FPS in BGMI
- Open BGMI and go to Settings > Graphics & Audio.
- Select Smooth graphics, then choose 90FPS if that option appears.
BGMI’s notice dated December 28, 2023 says the 90 FPS button must be available in Graphics Settings for the device. If it is absent, the notice does not establish a supported way to enable it on that device. BGMI’s 90 FPS notice

How to enable 120 FPS in BGMI
BGMI calls the 120 FPS frame-rate option Ultra Extreme. Its support page says: “The ability to use 120 FPS is available only on select high-refresh-rate devices that support this feature through hardware and software.” The option must appear in the game’s Graphics Settings; a 120 Hz display alone does not prove that BGMI supports 120 FPS on that model. Check both BGMI’s in-game choice and the device’s own refresh-rate setting. They are separate: the screen’s refresh rate is a device setting, while the frame-rate selection is made in BGMI. BGMI’s guide gives these examples for enabling a high refresh rate:

- Samsung: Settings > Display > Motion smoothness.
- OnePlus: Settings > Display & brightness > Screen refresh rate or Advanced display > Refresh rate.
- Xiaomi: Settings > Display > Screen refresh rate.
Menu names and paths can differ with device software. Use the corresponding refresh-rate control shown on your device. On iPhone or iPad, BGMI’s instructions say to open Settings > Accessibility > Motion and turn off Limit Frame Rate. If Ultra Extreme is available but the setting still does not take effect after checking the device refresh rate, BGMI directs users to contact in-game support.

Use only frame-rate options displayed by BGMI for your device. The official 90 FPS notice and 120 FPS guide both make availability conditional; neither supports forcing an absent option. A high-refresh-rate screen is not enough by itself to confirm in-game eligibility.

- Check the in-game Graphics Settings for the option you want.
- If 120 FPS is listed but does not apply, check that the device’s high or adaptive refresh-rate mode is enabled.
- If the option is not listed, choose the highest available frame rate instead of relying on unsupported workarounds.
BGMI’s guide gives no current device-by-device support matrix. Its Android minimum-requirements page lists Android 4.4 or higher, Adreno 306 or higher, and at least 1.5 GB RAM, but those are old minimums—not requirements for stable high-FPS play or a current device-buying guide.
