None is a proven all-around winner from the available specifications: choose by cover-screen comfort, weight, camera hardware, battery and charging priorities, software preference, and whether the exact model is supported where you live.
The X Fold6 is a 2026 book-style foldable announced in China on June 26 and sold there from July 1. vivo’s launch announcement gave it a China launch price starting at CNY 7,999; that is not a current international price. vivo’s announcement describes an 8.02-inch inner display and 6.51-inch outer display, making these three phones the most useful comparison points in the supplied specifications.
Which phones are the best alternatives to the vivo X Fold6?
Start with the Galaxy Z Fold7 if you want a Samsung foldable with a large cover screen and One UI; consider the Pixel 10 Pro Fold if you prefer Google’s Pixel ecosystem; and put the Honor Magic V5 on the list if it is officially available and serviceable in your country. The published information supports a priority-based shortlist, not a universal ranking or verified head-to-head performance result.

How the alternatives differ for everyday use
For cover-screen comfort
The X Fold6’s outer screen is listed at 6.51 inches, while Samsung lists a 6.5-inch cover screen and the Honor comparison reports 6.43 inches. These diagonal measurements are close, but they do not describe aspect ratio, usable width or the feel of the phone in one hand. Check the exact model in person if folded typing and one-handed use are deciding factors.
For carrying weight and size
Samsung publishes a Galaxy Z Fold7 weight of 215 g, while Google lists the Pixel 10 Pro Fold at 9.1 oz. These figures are not directly comparable without conversion and consistent measurement conventions; the supplied specifications do not give matching folded dimensions and weights for all four models. Do not infer a definitive lightest-phone ranking from this partial set.

For cameras
Samsung’s published hardware includes a 200 MP wide camera, a 12 MP ultrawide and a 10 MP 3× telephoto. That configuration is useful for checking whether the phone has the camera types you want, but megapixel counts and lens labels do not establish image quality. The cited material does not provide standardized photo or video comparisons among the four phones, so it cannot identify the best camera.
For battery and charging
vivo advertises an equivalent 7,000 mAh battery with 80 W wired and 40 W wireless charging for the X Fold6. TechRadar reported a 5,820 mAh battery for the Honor Magic V5 in 2025. A capacity claim does not predict real-world runtime across different screens, chips, software and test conditions; the cited material also does not provide a matching battery test or charging comparison for all models.

For protection
vivo states IPX8/IPX9 water resistance and IP5X dust resistance for the X Fold6; TechRadar’s 2025 comparison lists IP58 for the Honor Magic V5. These are different ratings and should not be treated as proof that one phone is categorically more durable. Confirm the rating for the exact regional model and read the manufacturer’s limits before exposing a device to water or dust.

The X Fold6’s China launch pricing began at CNY 7,999 for 12 GB/256 GB and went up to CNY 10,999 for 16 GB/1 TB. Those are launch prices for China, not current global prices. vivo’s China specification page identifies model V2545A and Android 16-based OriginOS 6 Fold. A separate vivo Europe product page shows a Europe-facing product listing, but a listing does not prove current stock or warranty and repair coverage in every European country.

TechRadar reported UK and European availability for the Magic V5 in 2025. A separate October 2026 report described select European availability for the X Fold6 and no UK or US launch at that point. These reports describe availability at their publication dates, not guaranteed current retail stock. The cited material does not establish current stock or price for every model in every country.
Before ordering any foldable, verify the exact regional SKU with the manufacturer or seller and check:
- Whether the phone is officially sold in your country and whether the seller is authorized.
- Carrier-band compatibility for your network, including the exact model variant.
- Local warranty terms, repair options and availability of replacement parts.
- Return conditions and the seller’s policy for defects or damage.
How to choose between them
- Set your first priority. Decide whether folded usability, a preferred software ecosystem, camera hardware, battery claims or local support matters most.
- Check the exact model and region. Compare regional specifications rather than assuming a product page or launch report guarantees local stock, service or carrier compatibility.
- Compare like with like. Treat manufacturer specifications as useful for screening, not as standardized performance tests. Do not rank battery life, cameras or durability from the figures above alone.
- Confirm total purchase terms. Compare current local pricing, storage configuration, warranty and return terms with the retailer before buying; the cited launch and 2025 figures are not current prices.
What the published specifications cannot settle
The available material consists chiefly of manufacturer specifications and a dated comparison, not standardized current tests of all four devices. It cannot establish which has the best battery life, camera output, long-term software support, hinge durability or overall value. Treat the shortlist as a way to narrow candidates, then verify current regional specifications and support before making a purchase.
