There is no independently validated “best” Aion 2 graphics preset or FPS guarantee. Start with NCSoft’s published FHD baseline—Very Low for minimum-tier PCs and Normal for recommended-tier PCs—then adjust effects, player particles, and frame generation to suit your hardware and whether you prioritize combat readability, responsiveness, or smoothness.
Start with the official PC baseline
NCSoft’s system requirements specify preset references at FHD (1920 × 1080), not measured frame rates. Its minimum tier maps to the simplified Very Low preset, while the recommended tier maps to Normal. Those labels are a useful starting point, not a promise that a particular PC will hold a particular FPS.

These are the publisher’s listed requirements and preset references, not a guarantee of performance. See NCSoft’s Aion 2 requirements. Steam likewise says, “When using FHD resolution in-game, set the graphics preset to Very Low to ensure compatibility,” in its Aion 2 system requirements listing.
What to lower first when fights are hard to read
A community settings compilation drawing on two creator videos identifies Effect Quality and player-particle display as practical controls to try when crowded scenes are visually noisy or performance dips. These are creator recommendations, not results from a controlled benchmark.

Reduce effect quality
Lowering Effect Quality can reduce visual clutter in combat. The sources do not establish a universally optimal setting or quantify an FPS change, so treat it as a test rather than a guaranteed performance fix.
Limit which player effects are shown
The compilation describes two particle-display choices: Self Only hides other players’ effects, while Self and Party retains party effects but hides effects from more distant players. Self Only favors a less cluttered view; Self and Party keeps more information about nearby allies. Choose based on how much group-effect visibility you need.

Balance latency against smoothness in PvP
The same compilation frames frame generation as a trade-off: it recommends leaving it off in PvE and turning it on for mass PvP when smoother displayed motion matters more. It also warns that frame generation adds input lag. That is creator advice, not a measured latency figure or a rule that suits every player. If precise, immediate input matters most to you, favor responsiveness; if large battles feel choppy and you can accept the trade-off, compare the enabled setting in that activity.

How to tune image clarity and performance without guessing
Third-party guides disagree about resolution scaling, effects, shadows, and particle settings, and the available sources do not provide comparable controlled tests. One guide’s preferred values should not be combined with another’s as if they formed a validated preset. - Record your starting point. Note your GPU, resolution, current game build, and whether you are tuning for PvE, ordinary PvP, or mass PvP.
- Use the official tier as a baseline. At FHD, begin at Very Low if your PC is around the minimum specification or Normal if it is around the recommended specification.
- Choose one problem to address. If combat is visually crowded, try lower Effect Quality or a more restrictive player-particle option. If image clarity is the priority, avoid lowering resolution scale without comparing the result.
- Change one setting at a time. Compare the same repeatable scene before and after each change. This helps you identify whether a setting improves readability or smoothness on your own system.
- Evaluate in the mode that matters. A choice that feels good in a quiet PvE area may not suit a crowded fight, especially when weighing particle visibility and frame generation.
Native resolution and image quality can preserve detail, while reducing scale or using upscaling may lessen rendering workload at the cost of clarity. The reviewed guides disagree on specific scaling values, so there is no evidence-based universal number to prescribe.

When settings are not the whole answer
Compare your system with the official CPU, RAM, and GPU tiers before assuming a graphics adjustment will solve the problem. NCSoft lists 100 GB of available storage and recommends an SSD; its specification does not establish that any single component upgrade or setting will fix stutter or guarantee a target frame rate.
The recommended GPU examples—RTX 2070 8 GB and Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB—are the models named by NCSoft, not endorsements as current best buys. If your graphics card falls below the published tier, that comparison may help explain limited headroom, but it does not mean every performance or visibility issue requires a replacement.

What the available performance evidence can—and cannot—tell you
The official requirements are specifications, not benchmark results. The reviewed sources contain no independently published Aion 2 graphics benchmark figures that support an FPS promise or establish one configuration as best across different hardware, resolutions, and play modes. Use the published presets as a starting point and treat community settings advice as something to verify in your own repeatable scene.
