Beats 360 is the newer over-ear headphone, adding interchangeable cushions, an IPX4 rating, longer stated battery life with ANC on, and a Beats-reported noise-cancellation improvement over Studio Pro. Studio Pro remains the more compelling option if you need a 3.5 mm analog input, wired lossless audio, or a lighter headset. At launch in the U.S., Beats priced Beats 360 at $349.99 and announced a new $299.99 price for Studio Pro; those are announcement-era prices, not guaranteed current prices.

What’s new with Beats 360?
Interchangeable cushions
Beats 360 is Beats’ first customizable over-ear headphone. It ships with matching Performance Knit earcup and headband cushions, and owners can swap them for separately sold Performance Knit or UltraPlush kits. Beats described the standard U.S. kit price as $49.99 at launch, with a limited introductory $9.99 offer in select markets. That introductory offer was time-limited; check current availability and pricing before buying. [Beats’ September 22, 2026 announcement]
IPX4 resistance for exercise
Beats 360 carries an IPX4 sweat- and water-resistance rating. That makes it the model Beats positions for exercise where splashes or sweat may be an issue, but IPX4 does not mean waterproof or suitable for submersion. Studio Pro has no resistance rating listed in the official comparison. [Beats 360 specifications] [Beats comparison page]

Longer stated battery life with ANC enabled
Beats lists up to 32 hours for Beats 360 with ANC and Personalized Spatial Audio enabled, compared with up to 24 hours for Studio Pro with ANC. These are manufacturer estimates, not independent test results, and the figures refer to different listed feature conditions. For quick charging, Studio Pro’s claim is stronger on its face: Beats says five minutes gives Beats 360 up to one hour, while ten minutes gives Studio Pro up to four hours. Beats’ noise-cancellation claim
Beats says Beats 360 provides up to 1.75 times more combined active and passive noise cancellation than Studio Pro under IEC 60268-24. This is a manufacturer claim, not an independent head-to-head test, so it does not establish that every listener will perceive a 1.75-times improvement in every environment. What Studio Pro still offers
Analog input and wired lossless listening
Studio Pro is the clearer choice for a wired setup: Beats lists a 3.5 mm analog input and lossless audio over either USB-C or a 3.5 mm cable. Its USB-C connection also offers three built-in sound profiles that Beats describes for music, entertainment, and conversation. Beats 360’s comparison listing specifies USB-C but does not list those wired-audio options. [Studio Pro specifications] [Beats comparison page]
Lower published weight
Beats lists Studio Pro at 260 g and Beats 360 at 294.5 g. Studio Pro is lighter by the manufacturer’s figures, although published weight alone cannot predict which model will feel more comfortable; fit and cushion preference are personal. [Studio Pro specifications] [Beats 360 specifications]

Which one should you buy?
- Choose Beats 360 if you want swappable cushions, an IPX4 rating for sweat and splashes, or the higher stated ANC-on listening estimate. Its launch-era U.S. price was $50 above Studio Pro’s announced new price.
- Choose Studio Pro if you need 3.5 mm analog connectivity, wired lossless audio, or the lighter published weight. It also has the stronger stated Fast Fuel charge-to-playback ratio.
- Compare fit and current prices before deciding if your priorities are comfort, sound quality, or real-world ANC performance. Beats’ specifications do not establish that Beats 360 will sound or feel better for every person, and independent comparative testing is not established here.
Beats 360 includes the headphones, matching Performance Knit cushions, and a woven ripstop fabric case, according to its product specifications. [Beats 360 specifications]
