AstraviX is presented by its creator, Aayan Shikalgar, as a browser-based visual workspace for mapping thoughts. Shikalgar says it requires no signup, login, or email and saves data locally in the browser. His announcement describes the intended experience, but does not independently verify how the app stores data, what happens to notes over time, or how it performs.

What AstraviX is

AstraviX is described as an infinite-canvas notebook: a visual space for laying out and connecting thoughts rather than writing only in a linear document. In his September 19, 2026 announcement on DEV Community, Shikalgar says he built it after finding other apps laggy or encumbered by signup forms. That explains his motivation; it is not evidence that users broadly share the problem or that AstraviX has been benchmarked against other apps.

Does AstraviX require an account?

According to Shikalgar, no. He writes: “It requires no sign-up, no login, and no email—it saves all your data locally in your browser.” The statement is from the creator, not an independent test of the current app.

Where are notes saved, and what should users know?

The creator says notes are saved locally in the browser. The announcement does not specify the storage technology or explain whether notes survive clearing browser data, how to back them up or export them, or whether they can be restored or moved to another device. Those details matter before relying on a browser-stored notebook for important work; the post does not establish a backup or recovery method.

It also does not establish privacy or security protections beyond the local-storage claim. “Local-first” should therefore be understood as the creator’s description, not as a verified guarantee about data handling.

What is known about performance and features?

The announcement asks readers for feedback on the interface and performance. It provides no measured speed results, independent review, or detailed list of canvas tools. It also does not say which browsers or devices are supported, or whether the app works offline. The available announcement is not enough to judge those capabilities.

Who made AstraviX?

Shikalgar identifies himself as AstraviX’s creator in the announcement. His DEV Community profile lists him as Founder and CEO of AstraviX and gives his location as India.
