Assassin’s Creed Hexe has no officially confirmed cast or plot details beyond Ubisoft’s broad description of a darker, narrative-driven experience. A report by MP1st, citing casting-call descriptions that it says it uncovered, names a protagonist called “Petra” and outlines her family, Mother Gertrud, the Order of the Lamb and a journey to Augsburg. Those details are unconfirmed, and MP1st says the casting names may be placeholders.
What the Hexe character report claims
MP1st’s October 4, 2026 report says it found character descriptions in casting calls dating from 2023 through recent months. The casting materials are not independently available in the sources reviewed, so the identities and story points below should be treated as claims reported by MP1st—not confirmed Ubisoft canon. Read MP1st’s report.
Petra and her family
The casting descriptions reportedly label the protagonist “Petra,” describing her as a strong-willed woman in her mid-twenties, a dutiful daughter and a radical thinker. MP1st also recounts an earlier rumor that called the protagonist Anika Adler. The report does not establish whether either name is final or whether the two labels refer to the same character.
MP1st describes the reported family as including Brigitte, a compassionate mother and midwife, and Konrad, a caring but religious family man with a “dirty job.” The outlet connects Konrad to descriptions of a father who serves as Neustadt’s headsman. The report also mentions a rumored Auditore-family connection through Petra’s mother, but does not confirm it.

Mother Gertrud, the Order and Augsburg
According to MP1st, Mother Gertrud was once a trusted village healer. After she could not cure an illness, she faced accusations of witchcraft. She reportedly taught Petra’s mother about herbs and later gives Petra refuge. The report says Gertrud helps Petra escape the “Order of the Lamb” and identifies Augsburg as a dangerous next destination.

MP1st speculates that the Order could be a front for the Templars; that connection is conjecture, not a confirmed part of Hexe’s story. The outlet places the game in Germany during witch trials and also mentions a separate leak claim about a Würzburg expansion. Ubisoft has not confirmed those specific setting or expansion details.
Is Anna part of the modern-day story?
MP1st says a profile for “Anna” describes a competitive, driven career woman who does not share the German background attributed to the other characters. The outlet infers that she may be connected to the Abstergo or Animus Hub portion of the game. That proposed role is an interpretation, not a confirmed plot point.

What Ubisoft has confirmed about Hexe
Ubisoft announced Codename Hexe in 2022 as a project led by Ubisoft Montreal and placed it within the Assassin’s Creed Infinity hub. Its public description calls Hexe a “unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin’s Creed experience, set during a pivotal moment in history.” That description does not confirm the reported characters, cities, witch-trial setting or plot.
In a March 5, 2026 franchise update, Ubisoft head of content Jean Guesdon said the team was still working toward its vision and was not ready to reveal more. TechRadar reproduced his statement: “We are taking the time to deliver on its ambitious vision, which means we’ll be quiet for a little longer, but we love seeing all the enthusiasm happening on our channels and can’t wait to unveil more when the time is right,” said Jean Guesdon, Assassin’s Creed head of content. Is Ezio in Assassin’s Creed Hexe?
The report does not confirm that Ezio appears in Hexe. Its mention of a possible Auditore-family connection is a rumor-based claim about Petra’s mother, not evidence that Ezio is a character in the game. Ubisoft has not confirmed the reported family connection or Ezio’s involvement.
