The Artemis II crew’s return broadcast is no longer live: it aired on April 10, 2026. NASA scheduled coverage to begin at 6:30 p.m. EDT, ahead of a targeted 8:07 p.m. EDT splashdown off San Diego. Netflix carried NASA+ live programming for the event, but the available sources do not confirm that the complete broadcast remains available to replay in every region.
When the Artemis II return coverage aired
NASA’s event listing gives April 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. EDT as the start of the return coverage and marks the event as having occurred. NASA’s event-day schedule targeted splashdown for 8:07 p.m. EDT (5:07 p.m. PDT) off San Diego. Those times are the published schedule, not a current or future broadcast listing. NASA’s Flight Day 10 report and the NASA+ event page document the event.
Where NASA listed the live broadcast
For the April 10 event, NASA listed eight viewing routes. This is a historical list of platforms named for that broadcast, not confirmation that any one of them still hosts a replay.
| Platform or route | What the event-day information establishes |
|---|---|
| NASA+ | Listed by NASA for live return coverage; NASA also said mission coverage was available on its YouTube channel. |
| Amazon Prime | Listed by NASA for live return coverage. |
| Apple TV | Listed by NASA for live return coverage. |
| Netflix | Listed by NASA; Netflix later described the broadcast as NASA+ live programming inside Netflix. |
| HBO Max | Listed by NASA for live return coverage. |
| Discovery+ | Listed by NASA for live return coverage. |
| Peacock | Listed by NASA for live return coverage. |
| Roku | Listed by NASA for live return coverage. |
NASA said its live coverage would continue until the crew was safely assisted from Orion and transported to the USS John P. Murtha. The platform list and coverage plan appear in its April 10 Flight Day 10 report.

What Netflix’s coverage meant
In its April 11, 2026, retrospective, Netflix said the splashdown broadcast was part of NASA+ live programming delivered through NASA’s feed. Netflix described the NASA+ feeds as available in the Netflix interface alongside other programming and said viewers did not need an additional subscription beyond an existing Netflix membership at that time. This explains how the event was offered then; it does not establish current Netflix catalog availability or present subscription terms. Netflix Tudum’s event recap has those details.
Can you watch the full return broadcast now?
The cited NASA and Netflix pages do not establish that the complete splashdown broadcast is currently available on demand everywhere. NASA’s event listing links to the official broadcast page, and Netflix’s April 7 explainer said viewers could watch the lunar flyby afterward, but neither fact confirms ongoing access to the full return coverage. Check the relevant platform’s current listing for your region before assuming the archived stream is available. NASA’s explainer also described NASA+ as free through the NASA app and NASA.gov at the time of the event; that historical description is not a guarantee that an archived feed remains accessible. Netflix’s Artemis II viewing explainer covers the event-era options.

What happened during the scheduled return sequence
NASA’s event-day timeline placed crew-module separation at 7:33 p.m. EDT, atmospheric interface at 7:53 p.m., drogue parachute deployment at 8:03 p.m., main parachute deployment at 8:04 p.m., and splashdown at 8:07 p.m. These are the times in NASA’s published plan. NASA said recovery teams would retrieve the crew and fly them by helicopter to the USS John P. Murtha.
The four crew members were NASA commander Reid Wiseman, NASA pilot Victor Glover, NASA mission specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency mission specialist Jeremy Hansen. NASA reported the completed journey distance as 694,481 miles; Netflix’s recap rounded it to 695,000 miles. NASA’s event report and Netflix’s recap give those figures.
