The move makes USDG available at the chain level; it does not establish that every Arbitrum DeFi app already supports it or that the network’s proposed uses have achieved adoption.
What Arbitrum’s Global Dollar Network partnership means
Global Dollar Network announced Arbitrum as a Network partner on October 5, 2026. It says USDG is natively issued on Arbitrum One, rather than describing the launch as a bridged version of a token issued on another chain. The announcement does not provide details about token contracts or bridge mechanics.
The network positions USDG as a potential “default dollar” for Arbitrum DeFi. That is the network’s stated ambition, not an independent finding about which stablecoin users or applications currently prefer. Native issuance also does not mean that every wallet, exchange, lending market, or other Arbitrum application has integrated USDG.
What USDG is and who issues it
USDG is a US dollar-backed stablecoin. Paxos introduced it in November 2024 as issued by Paxos Digital Singapore, which Paxos described as regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The October 2026 network announcement also names Paxos Issuance Europe for the EU. Those descriptions are claims by Paxos and the network; they do not independently establish current regulatory status or user eligibility.

Global Dollar Network says USDG can be redeemed through Paxos one-to-one for US dollars, that reserves are held in cash and cash equivalents in segregated accounts, and that monthly reserve reports are published. These are statements in the network announcement, not independent verification of reserves or redemption access. The announcement does not promise automatic yield to USDG holders.

- Liquidity and lending markets: USDG could serve as a dollar-denominated asset in trading pools or lending applications that choose to support it.
- Derivatives collateral: The network says USDG is intended to be usable as collateral in derivatives markets.
- Institutional settlement: The network also identifies settlement as a target use, including for institutional activity.
These are stated goals, not evidence that specific Arbitrum protocols have integrated USDG, that markets have meaningful liquidity, or that institutions are already settling with it. Users should check the relevant application’s own supported-asset information before transferring or depositing tokens.
What the reported partner and circulation figures show
In its October 5, 2026 announcement, Global Dollar Network reported more than 150 partners and over $3 billion of USDG in circulation. The figures are the network’s reported totals as of that announcement; they are not presented here as independently audited measures of Arbitrum activity or USDG adoption on Arbitrum.

The network had made a separate milestone statement on July 21, 2026, reporting more than 150 partners, over $3 billion in circulation, and tens of millions of dollars in reward payouts. That earlier statement is distinct from the October announcement and should not be read as evidence that rewards are currently available to every USDG holder.

On October 6, 2026, Entropy posted an ArbitrumDAO forum proposal seeking coordinated support for USDG adoption and an additional 100 million ARB for the DRIP budget. The forum post is a request for action and funding, not proof that a vote passed or that the requested ARB was allocated. The proposal’s existence also does not establish that any incentives have been funded or distributed.

What to check before using USDG on Arbitrum
- Confirm that the wallet or Arbitrum application supports USDG on Arbitrum One; support on another network is not enough.
- Verify the token and network details through the application or issuer’s official information before sending funds. The announcement alone does not document token-contract or bridge details.
- Review an application’s liquidity, fees, and deposit or withdrawal terms separately. The network announcement does not establish current fees or market depth.
- If redemption matters, check Paxos’s current eligibility and redemption requirements rather than assuming the stated one-to-one redemption is available to every user in every location.
