ApplyBoard is a platform for finding programs and applying to partner institutions—not an admissions authority or visa processor. Its account and search tools are described as free for students, but schools may charge application fees. ApplyBoard publishes strong outcome figures, yet those are company-reported statistics tied to specific applicant groups, not a promise of an individual result. Public review evidence is too limited to establish typical student satisfaction.
What does ApplyBoard do?
ApplyBoard connects prospective international students with educational institutions and recruitment partners. Students can use its platform to search programs, compare schools by location, tuition, duration and entry requirements, create applications, upload documents, track progress, receive document feedback and view offer letters. The company also promotes services such as language-test vouchers and financial services; availability may depend on the applicant and destination.
ApplyBoard’s homepage currently advertises study destinations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia, along with more than 150,000 programs, more than 1,500 institutions, more than 1.5 million students helped and a 95% success rate. These are company claims, and the broad success-rate wording should not be read as an individual admission or visa probability. ApplyBoard’s 2026 fact sheet instead reports more than 1.3 million students helped, more than 1,500 institution partners and more than 5,000 recruitment partners across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland and Germany. The figures and destination lists differ by source; they should not be combined into one count. (ApplyBoard homepage; ApplyBoard 2026 fact sheet)
How does the application process work?
- Search for programs and compare entry requirements, costs, location and duration.
- Create a profile and application, then complete the institution’s requirements and upload requested documents.
- Check whether the institution requires an application fee and pay it if applicable.
- ApplyBoard says it reviews the file before submitting it to the institution.
- Follow application progress and review any offer or follow-up request. The institution—not ApplyBoard—decides whether to admit the applicant.
ApplyBoard says it provides visa information and study-permit guides, but does not process visas directly. A government authority decides visa applications; using the platform does not guarantee admission or a visa. ApplyBoard’s Trust Center describes the company as “a technology marketplace and infrastructure layer, not a policymaker or an immigration authority.” (ApplyBoard student application guidance; ApplyBoard Trust Center)

Is ApplyBoard free for students?
ApplyBoard says creating an account and using its search tools are free. That does not mean every application is free: individual institutions may charge application fees, and the amount and terms vary by institution. ApplyBoard says fees are generally non-refundable once an application has been submitted to the institution; a cancellation requested before submission may be eligible for a full application refund. Check the fee, refund conditions and timing shown for the specific program before submitting. (ApplyBoard student guidance; ApplyBoard application-fee information)
How should students interpret ApplyBoard’s success and quality figures?
ApplyBoard’s Trust Center labels its figures as current as of July 2026 unless a different period is specified. The statistics refer to different populations and steps in the process, so none should be treated as an independent estimate of a particular applicant’s chances.

| 95%+ UK visa approval rate (2025) | ApplyBoard-submitted students applying for UK visas | Company-reported UK-specific outcome; not a forecast for an individual or another destination. |
| 82% acceptance rate (2026) | Vetted, pre-screened files forwarded to partner admissions teams | The denominator is files selected and forwarded, not every student who begins an application. |
| About 50% screened out before submission (2026) | Student applications screened out by ApplyBoard before submission | A company-reported description of its own pre-submission screening process. |
The same Trust Center reports that, in the previous six months, ApplyBoard stopped 130 suspected-fraud or tampered files and restricted or removed 314 recruitment-partner accounts for quality or compliance reasons. It also reports 20,711 English-language proficiency validations cumulatively and 3,125 AI-assisted credibility interviews recorded and reviewed in the previous six months. These are company-reported activity figures, not independent audits of the platform’s outcomes. ApplyBoard publishes a partner testimonial from Algoma University’s Craig Fowler about quality, accountability and student outcomes; it is a partner statement, not an independent student review. Are ApplyBoard reviews reliable?
The Trustpilot profile located on October 7, 2026 showed two reviews, a displayed score of 3.8 and two five-star reviews. Two self-selected reviews are too few to establish typical satisfaction or support a stable overall rating. Treat the profile as a very small snapshot rather than a representative verdict. A CEO.com page summarizes a 2026 investigation by The Logic that reported allegations from interviews with 17 former employees concerning application fraud and the handling of harassment complaints. The summary also reports that ApplyBoard disputed the characterization and pointed to its verification standards and agent block lists. This is a secondary account; the original investigation and a broader body of student accounts are not established by the sources cited here. The allegations should not be treated as verified findings. (CEO.com interview and podcast page)
