How much did Anthropic raise, and what is its valuation?
Anthropic said it raised $30 billion in Series G funding at a $380 billion post-money valuation. The company’s February 12, 2026 announcement describes the $380 billion figure as post-money, meaning it is the stated valuation after the new investment is included.

That figure is not a publicly traded share price, a guaranteed sale or IPO value, or an amount that any individual shareholder could necessarily realize. Anthropic remains a private company in the reporting on this financing; the announcement does not establish that an IPO has occurred.
Who led the Series G?
Anthropic named GIC and Coatue as the lead investors. It said D. E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX also co-led the round.

The company’s list of other significant investors included Accel, Addition, BlackRock-affiliated funds, Blackstone, Fidelity Management & Research Company, General Catalyst, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, JPMorganChase, Qatar Investment Authority, Sequoia Capital, and Temasek, among others. Anthropic did not publish a complete investor-by-investor allocation, so the announcement does not show how much each participant invested or whether they all invested on identical terms.
How Microsoft and NVIDIA fit into the round
Anthropic said the Series G included part of previously announced investments from Microsoft and NVIDIA. It did not disclose how much of the $30 billion came from those commitments or provide the full transaction mechanics. The Associated Press reported that the announcements also involved a Microsoft compute-capacity purchase commitment; that reporting should not be mistaken for a complete breakdown of the financing.

What Anthropic says it will do with the money
Anthropic said the investment would fund frontier research, product development, and infrastructure expansion. It linked those priorities to its enterprise AI and coding products, including Claude, Claude Code, and Claude for Work.
The company said Claude was available through Amazon Web Services Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure Foundry, and described its hardware mix as AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs. These are Anthropic’s descriptions of its products and infrastructure strategy, not independent assessments of performance or a guarantee that the funding will produce specific outcomes.

What Anthropic reported about growth
Anthropic’s announcement included several operating figures. They are company-reported metrics, not audited annual revenue or independently verified customer counts:
- $14 billion in run-rate revenue. This is Anthropic’s wording in the February 12 announcement; it should not be recast as $14 billion of audited revenue earned over a completed year.
- More than 10× annual growth in run-rate revenue in each of the preceding three years, according to the company.
- More than 500 customers spending over $1 million annually on an annualized basis, compared with 12 customers two years earlier, according to Anthropic.
- Eight of the Fortune 10 were Claude customers, as the company stated.
- More than $2.5 billion in Claude Code run-rate revenue; Anthropic said this figure had more than doubled since the beginning of 2026.
The announcement does not include full financial statements or independent audit verification for these figures. The Associated Press separately characterized Anthropic as not profitable while reporting on the company’s sales outlook. That is the news report’s account, distinct from Anthropic’s run-rate disclosures; the $380 billion valuation alone does not establish profitability.

What the valuation does—and does not—tell you
A post-money valuation is a negotiated financing-round measure of a private company’s value after the new investment is counted. It is useful for describing the terms Anthropic announced, but it does not tell readers what a public market would pay for the company or what any specific investor’s stake is worth under all circumstances.
The announcement and related reporting reviewed here do not provide the full security terms, exact allocation among investors, or audited company financial statements. The $30 billion raise therefore should not be read as proof of profitability, a guaranteed future return, or a guarantee that Anthropic will achieve its stated research and infrastructure plans.
