For an outdoor movie, Eco mode’s longer claimed runtime may suit a lower-brightness setting in a dark space. If you need more brightness, plan for less battery life or access to power. Check the selected mode and remaining charge before relying on the projector for a full-length viewing session.

Anker lists IPX3 water resistance and 0.5m drop resistance, features that help explain the Mars 3’s outdoor positioning. Use it as portable equipment that has some protection for outdoor use, not as weatherproof gear. Keep it sheltered from conditions beyond its stated rating and pack it away when the session is over.
Picture quality: practical strengths and trade-offs
The Mars 3’s 1080p resolution is a straightforward fit for portable movie viewing, but this is not a 4K projector. TechRadar notes limited color vibrance compared with triple-laser alternatives and limited black detail in shadowy scenes. A larger image spreads the available light over more area; choose a size that remains watchable in your conditions rather than assuming the maximum is the best choice.

Built-in streaming and the Netflix caveat
RTINGS reports that the Mars 3 runs Android TV 11 and has Chromecast built in. Its Netflix access is less conventional: Netflix is not TV-licensed on the projector and must be installed through Nebula Play. Audio and setup: less gear to carry
