Neither Android tablets nor iPads are universally better: the right choice depends on the exact models, games, apps, and accessories you plan to use. In a direct flagship comparison, Tom’s Guide’s tests favored the iPad Pro M5 for processor and graphics performance, while Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra remains a capable Android option with flexible multitasking and an included S Pen. For streaming, compare the screens, speakers, apps, and battery evidence on the specific tablets you are considering; there is no same-conditions test here establishing a platform-wide winner.
Android tablet vs. iPad: the short answer
Choose by model and workload, not by operating system label alone. Android spans manufacturers and price tiers, so a flagship Samsung tablet is not a fair stand-in for every Android device—and neither is a flagship iPad representative of every iPad.
- For graphically demanding games and editing: the iPad Pro M5 has the edge in Tom’s Guide’s comparison with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
- For multitasking and included pen input: the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is worth considering, especially if its Android app support fits your needs.
- For streaming: decide based on the exact display, speakers, supported services, and battery information. The available evidence does not provide a controlled Android-versus-iPad streaming comparison.
Which is better for gaming?
Demanding games and graphics performance
In Tom’s Guide’s comparison, the iPad Pro M5 scored 4,155 single-core and 16,517 multi-core in Geekbench 6; the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra scored 2,811 and 9,126. In the publication’s 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Unlimited test, the iPad Pro M5 scored 9,934 and 59 fps, compared with 6,575 and 39 fps for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. These are results for these two tested models, not proof that every iPad is faster than every Android tablet. Tom’s Guide’s full comparison also describes the iPad Pro M5 as the better fit for graphically demanding games.
Game availability and software
Check that your particular games are available and supported on the exact tablet before buying. Google’s Android overview highlights gaming, Google Play, and apps designed for larger screens, but the experience varies with the manufacturer, model, and app. Apple announced that iPadOS 26 adds an Apple Games app and Game Overlay; its announcement also lists eligible iPad generations, and Apple Intelligence features have separate device and language requirements. Check Apple’s iPadOS 26 announcement for compatibility rather than assuming every iPad supports every feature. Apple described Games as “a new home for gaming”; that is Apple’s characterization of its feature, not an independent performance assessment.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Casual gaming
For less demanding games, both platforms may be suitable if the titles you want run well on the specific device. Tom’s Guide says the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra can run Android games such as Genshin Impact smoothly. That model-specific assessment does not establish how a different Android tablet will perform.
Which is better for streaming?
There is no established platform-wide winner. Compare the actual tablets’ screen size and quality, speakers, streaming-app availability, and price, keeping your viewing distance and usual use in mind. A larger screen may suit shared viewing, while a lighter or smaller tablet can be easier to hold; those are practical trade-offs to assess on the models themselves, not a guarantee that one platform has better video.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Keep battery claims distinct from measured results. Tom’s Guide’s continuous Wi-Fi web-browsing test at 150 nits ran for 13 hours 18 minutes on the iPad Pro M5 and 12 hours 3 minutes on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. That was a web-browsing test, not streaming playback. TechRadar reports Samsung’s claim that the Galaxy Tab S11 can stream continuously for 18 hours; this is a manufacturer claim, not the same kind of controlled reviewer test. See TechRadar’s Galaxy Tab S11 review for its distinction between its review experience and Samsung’s stated figure.
Which is better for productivity?
Start with your work and apps
List the apps and tasks you rely on, then verify their availability and features on each exact tablet. Consider whether you need split-screen work, multiple resizable windows, drawing, file handling, or a particular keyboard workflow. Google presents Android tablets as supporting multitasking and large-screen apps, but actual capabilities depend on the tablet and software. Tom’s Guide reports that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra can handle several apps at once.

Compare pen, keyboard, and total cost
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra includes an S Pen, according to Tom’s Guide, while its Book Cover Keyboard is an added peripheral. The iPad Pro M5 comparison lists Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard as optional accessories. Check compatibility and the current price of the exact accessory for the model and generation you choose; the initial tablet price alone may not reflect the cost of a useful work setup. Apple’s iPad model comparison page is specific to Ireland, so use the relevant regional listing for local availability and prices.
How to choose between the two
- Write down your must-have apps and games. Check support and relevant features for the exact tablet models, not just Android or iPad as a category.
- Match the workload. For demanding graphics or editing, the cited flagship comparison favors iPad Pro M5. For pen input and flexible multi-app use, examine the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s included S Pen and multitasking fit.
- Judge streaming on the hardware. Compare screen, speakers, supported services, and battery evidence without treating web-browsing endurance as streaming runtime.
- Price the complete setup. Add a compatible keyboard or stylus if your work requires one, and confirm what is included with the exact configuration.
- Compare similar tiers. Consider your existing phone and connected devices, then compare tablets with similar capabilities and budgets rather than an entry-level device against a flagship.
What the flagship comparison does—and does not—tell you
Tom’s Guide’s figures are useful for comparing the iPad Pro M5 with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra under its stated tests. They do not establish how less expensive tablets compare, which platform has better streaming quality, or which device is best for a particular app. Android includes products from multiple manufacturers, while Apple’s available models and feature compatibility vary by generation and region. Use the flagship results as one input, then verify support, accessories, and costs for your actual shortlist. Google’s Android tablet overview describes Google’s platform positioning, not a head-to-head product test.
